Chapter 8 Escape To Slyvia

A lot has happened in the past eight hours but our angel Raine was unconscious through it all

(Let me show you what happened)

Young Governor Pov

I am currently riding the carriage with the lady Raine asleep in my arms we are almost close to Slyvia hopefully no one followed us after that battle. I feel bit of joy that Lilacs plan was a success but every successful plans has a huge price to pay in this case lilacs Death is an example. After our plotting of how to get Raine out of the Dukes grasps she went closer to the Duke and pretend to have fallen in the river by mistake and was drowning the Duke dived down into the river to rescue her but as that was happening I swiftly got hold of Raine and drugged her into an unconscious state in time and carried her to the carriage I told the guards to transport her away to Slyvia so that I could help Lilac get herself away from The Dukes hands. But as I returned to the Dokes I saw that she was nowhere to be seen as well as the duke so I immediately ran and found a trail of blood and wet footsteps to an alley corner just to see the duke beheading her with his sword but before he could he said these words to her

"you think that you can fool me ,As a army general I saw your little plan coming but as soon as you're gone I'll track her again and take her away to the Slyvin kingdom and no one else will ever stop me so give yourself a rest and have fun in heaven".

She took a moment and looked me into my eyes and murmured me to run and never look back but as she was about to speak the duke looked me in my eyes before a devilish smirk came on his face before beheading her I watched my best friend and lover die Infront of my eyes. Now in full rage I stepped forward and attacked him with all the anger I had, I wanted to kill him but before I could even make a hasty move I remember that I had to protect the imperial angel Lady Raine and to finish what Lilac has set out to protect her  so I stepped forward and stabbed the duke in his leg and made a run to the carriage.

The carriage went faster and faster till we made it to the boarder between Rosévila and Cypress as I got there I saw my right hand man waiting for me he told me the carriage was being followed so they got an identical carriage to mislead the guards and that Lady Raine was being carried through Cypress and that they will reach Slyvia in the 4 hours. I was deeply relived but also in sorrow I nodded my head to my right hand man levi and rode the carriage catching up with the other carriage transporting Lady Raine and we continued to journey to Slyvia safely and without being followed hopefully.

Raine Pov

Talking to xavier was so much fun that we even forgot that we were suppose to get on the little boat but I didn't mind he seemed to be cold,rude and scary on the outside but he's truly is interesting and secretive which makes me want to explore more he seems gentle and looks like a nobel man meaning he's not from Rosévila but as I was about to ask him I saw a girl falling into the river she looked familiar, just then Xavier fall in to save her then all of a sudden I feel someone grabbing my waist then I smelled a very sweet stench then everything goes black.

Then I woke up but something was wrong when I looked around I found myself in an odd position like I am floating but I quickly composed myself in the correct position and realized I must be dreaming but my consciousness is awake but can't I wake up I feel paralyzed just then I saw an image of someone but I can't see who it is but the voice I feel like I knew it but what is said was a warning that caught me off guard and scared

Darn that governor will pay but now is not the time but as I was getting treated on my wound I immediately thought about Raine and wondered.

"She's different then all the women I've met unlike them she has an everlasting beauty she may as well be the definition of Purity and Grace she's too kind to fall into the nasty grasps of my brother.

Maybe yes maybe not...
