Bee's POV: (haven't done one of these in a while)
Last night I called Flower but she didn't answer, odd. She always picks up after two rings. I plan to walk over today so I can talk to her.
When I walked in the house I felt something was off, like existential dread.
I found flower in her kitchen, hands covering her face so I couldn't see her. Her hair was a tad bit brown at the scalp and was growing out so it hung loosely around her head. She had her black dress on, I'm assuming from the night before.
"Oh god, what do I do?" She was mumbling to herself.
"Flower? Are you ok?" I asked as she shot her head up.
"Uh yes I'm fine, sorry I didn't mean for you to see this," she said covering her eyes again, due to the fact no flowers covered them.
"Flower you are obviously not ok," I said walking up to her, "what happened? Was it your parents?"
I hugged her making it so I couldn't see her face. She hesitated at first, but she melted into the hug and wrapped her arms around me.
"I, my parents said that I would be crowded queen In two weeks time, at the ball. And I'm not ready, I don't want to give the life I have here up. I want to stay with you."
"I promise to visit you. If you would let me," I told her, I felt her calming down more.
"Please don't look at me, I don't want you to see this," she said as she started to relax and go limp.
I'm glad I can carry a lot, she fell asleep so I had to carry her to her room. I promised that I wouldn't look at her like this so I laid her down and closed my eyes as I turned around and then opened them once she was out of sight.
I don't want to leave her alone so I walked into her kitchen and made her some coffee just the way she liked it so she could have it once she woke.
I was just starting to get worried when flower came out of her room, fresh new flowers covering her eyes.
"Here I made you coffee," I said pushing the cup towards her.
"Thank you, really I don't deserve this kindness," flower said, taking the cup off the table.
"Yes you do, you work so hard and with no reward. Hey let's go treat you today. Consider it me making up for forgetting your birthday."
"You shouldn't, I don't need it."
"Yes you do."
