Apparently it takes more than a few excuses to get a few words down. Again, so many days have passed but it's not enough time. I remember how easy it was for me to work and enjoy it. And How easy it is to pay for Bianca and Niccolòs school. Catholic school. I went there my whole life and understood it. I may be tired but I want my children to understand it too. But Now I'm stuck at Job I don't even understand. So what is a lady to do? My assistant Alexis was getting concerned for me, "Marangelo..I think you should have half the week off.."

"No no! I'm fine." I told her. "Well, Carlotta and Benedict have been worried for you too. What is happening at home that doesn't allow you to rest? Where is your husband?" Cursed. I hate when H is brought up. "He is out of Town right now ok!" I raise my voice. She just stares at me. Shoot. "I'm sorry. I have..A lot that's it."

"Say, what's happening?" She asked. "Nothing. I-

"Is that a book?" She looked at my diary. "Y-Yes ma'am it is."

"Hmm..Lovely cover I might say." She commented. "T-Thank you ma'am."

"Marangelo" she called, "You are dismissed for the day. If you want to work, you can work later. Go home and have time for yourselves." Now you might be thinking that I would go "No! The kids would be home anytime soon! No! I want to work'"

But I didn't. I flopped on my desk and Said, "Oh thank God. Yes. Thank you." How relieved I felt. I took my things, This Book And left as soon as I could. Before Alexis would change her mind, before I would change my mind. As I walked I saw Carlotta. "Hey Maria.."

"Carlotta?" I looked around, "Are you leaving with Benedict Early?" I asked. She weakly smiled, "Maria..it's lunch time. You've been in there for 7 hours." Oh, I thought. "How about I buy you lunch?" She asked. I nod, "Ok. That sounds fine. Thank you" and We head out to the closest Diner. Nothing really. Italy has nice places but it gets boring. "So what's happened?" She questioned.

"What?" I asked. "Everything Maria! You are acting very Strange. And you won't say anything. You've been working your energy off so hard. You must need at least 8 glasses of water a day because of it!"

I chuckle, she didn't. "Ah. Well..I have big news Actually.."

Her eyes widened. I was about to tell her the big news until Miss you know who walked in. "Well Isn't it Carla and Mariangela!" Amanda sarcastically Cheered. I frowned and So did Carlotta.

"Hello to you too, Amanda" Carlotta rolled her eyes. "Greetings taken!" She adds. "What would you like?.." I grit my teeth, "Amanda"

She smiled, even if it was fake. "Why Mariangla, I just came to have a cup of coffee after a long day at the Ministry. Why! Those tithes are coming together quickly!" She winked. I felt myself rolling my eyes. But I sighed. I honestly couldn't have it in my heart to hate her. I'm not that lady. "That's nice Amanda, truly it is. I just—"

"Wait hold up!" She takes out a cloth. "This is right from the Gift shop of the church! Even Cynthia thought it looked pretty!"

I had to admit. It did look gorgeous. "Um, that's nice Amanda. We were just—"

"Right! You two were chatting" she once again cut me off. Do you think Jesus would have recommend throwing coffee? If so, it shows The merciful side of loving your enemy.

"So women, we're your husbands? Oh that's right! Carlotta you and him have Lunch on Thursdays! You-" she cringed and Pointed at me, "You, I have absolutely no Idea where your husband is and neither do you most of the time" she muttered. My jaw dropped.

"Well ladies! Have a good lunch! Bye bye!" She acted innocently and walked away. Carlotta shakes her head, "Ok wow. No. I don't get that little girl. Why does she treat you that way? In fact, why does she treat anyone that way?" I sigh, "I guess she thinks we're rivals of some type. Either in church when we give money, or out here." I explained, "ever since she converted a Few Years ago. Her daughter was mad. She was still Pagan and - " I stopped myself before I could say more.

"Really? What Gods did she worship?"

I didn't say anything. I lied. "I don't know. But Cynthia always liked me for how I dressed. She Liked H when he was around.."

"H? Why isn't he around Now?" Asked Carlotta. I gulped. Remembering the day I found out the truth.
