*Listen to Air by Shawn Mendes*
Ali's pov-
Kian and I were in the car singing/screaming to Ariana Grande One Last Time. I know, I know, we are such white girls. We just had a great time messing with a bitch so I think we have the right to celebrate. Then I got a phone call so Kian turned down the music so I could talk.
It was my Dad. I picked up.
"Hey Dad, whats up," I say.
"Did you forget?" He chuckles into the phone. I mentally face palm. I totally forgot! Basically what my family does is every Sunday for dinner we all eat together, My Dad, Mom, Siblings (minus Andrew cause ya know, Yale,) Dad's girlfriend and Mom's boyfriend. It sounds weird but my mom and dad are actually really close, best friends actually. I guess having 8 children creates an unbreakable bond, even if they hated each other they would stick through it.
"Dad I'm so sorry I forgot but I'm out with a friend," I say.
"That's okay BunBuns," He uses that nickname just to annoy me. "You're friend can come to dinner with us."
"Erm, okay," I say.
"I'm sure she's a perfectly nice girl," he says.
"Yeah, she is except she's not a she," I say, giggling. Kian laughs slightly and so does my dad.
"Okay, so have your boyfriend join us then," he says.
"He's not my boyfriend," I say.
"Suurrreeee he's not," My dad says sarcastically. Before I can respond he says 'Love you Buns," and hangs up. Classic Dad.
"Is it okay if you join my family for dinner, just as friends?" I ask Kian.
"Sure, did you miss a family dinner or something?"
"Well yeah, my parents are divorced but every Sunday my siblings, dad, dad's gf, mom, mom's bf, and I all have dinner. My parents are split up but are still great friends," I say.
"Oh that's cool, I'd love to go. I just need to change my clothes," He trails off, looking at his muscle tee that says SWAG.
"Trust me, you may be dressed too fancy for them. We aren't very fancy at all," I say truthfully.
"Okay lets drive," He says. I tell him what turns to take and we get to Dad's house in 8 minutes. As it turns out my dad's house and Kian's are around the block from each other. Who knew?
We get there and I get out of the car to be covered with hugs from Aspen, Aidan, and Ashley. I laugh and hug them back. "Missed you as well," I say.
"Still the same butthead as always, I see," Ashley says in a sisterly way.
