There were classes, again. He slumped his bag on his shoulders and went out the door. "Classes..? Again..? Ugh, Yugana nee-san, I don't want to." He heard Iguro whine.
That reminded Sanemi of something.
Genya.
He quickly shook the thought out of his head, yet an impromptu tear fell out his cheek. Walking out the door, he wasn't noticed by most. He briefly visited the onigiri shop, and resigned. He got enough, hashiras were paid well.
After quite a short time, Sanemi arrived at Ikeno Yuri. He went to HS2.
There sat Kanae, Shinobu and Gyomei's bag. Though, Gyomei himself was gone. Sanemi didn't bother, he was probably at the library or at the lounge. He sat down, the air suddenly slimming when Daki entered the room.
Her eyes were puffy and she looked depressed. Her hair wasn't exactly perfect all the time, but now, it just looked miserable. At least the strands didn't cover her face. Suddenly, Kanzaki Aoi entered the room.
"Aoi-san, welcome back! How long was the flight?" Kanae replied as if she didn't just hear Daki sob.
"Alright. What happened? They said 5 students were killed and injured. Gyutaro-kun's gone and Shinazugawa's brother. What happened?"Aoi questioned in a serious tone. She was the vice-homeroom representative, although she didn't look like it.
Daki lowered her head, and Kanae didn't say anything, so she just went back to her seat. She almost forgot it, actually, but it was somewhere near Douma's. Sanemi sighed, and brought his pen. He didn't feel like going.
Suddenly, the bell rang and the PA system turned on. "We are sorry to interrupt classes from JHS 1-HS6. There has been an outbreak of the "Obitum Virus". You are dismissed from class today. The Takai Chisei or Hashira will have a meeting at the Principal office, east wing from the HS2 class. Homeroom representatives are welcomed. Thank you."
Sanemi sighed. "After I just came back?! Really?" Aoi dramatically gasped.
He went to the office, already seeing Muichiro, Gyomei and Rengoku. He plopped to his seat next to Obanai's empty one. Upfront was Oyakata-sama, clearly still reading a report.
A few minutes later, Ubuyashiki stood, so the hashiras followed.
"Good morning. Shall we begin?" Kagaya said in a soft tone as per usual.
"Yes," Gyomei started. "How are you today, Oyakata-sama?"
"Quite well, Himejima-san." he smiled before he switched to being a bit serious. "Mhm. You all know the Obitum Virus, right?"
They all nodded in solemn agreement. "Who knows the affected people, inside and outside of Ikeno Yuri?"
Shinobu raised the palm of her hand. After being called, she stood up. "Kayanehi Rohi, father of Kayanehi Akane. Along with Nesaro Daiko, brother of Nesaro Aiko–JHS3, Kanima Risu of ELE4.." she paused, thinking of more names.
"Ah. Mushiwa Jindai; ELE6, Kotoyu Tsuyao; HS4 and...Shinazugawa Genya, JHS2."
Taking note of that, Oyakata lowered his head. Telling Shinobu to sit down, he put a shaky hand on the glass table. Just when he put a hand on his face, the Hashiras looked at Sanemi with concern written on it. When it got a bit uncomfortable, Oyakata lifted his head. "What do we do?" He asked.
"You're the one running the school paper, Kanae-san! You and Zakiru-san could write something!" Mitsuri jumped. Iguro chuckled. He loved seeing her smile.
"Uhm." Muichiro fiddled with the bow on his collar. "Who is Zakiru-san again..? "
Kanae sighed. "Oya? It's Dokiyo Zakiru-senpai, from the grade above us, Tokito-san."
