TYANA EDWARDS||EIGHTEEN||FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH
"Bredda how yuh manage fi get yuhself inna this again" Nico hisses throwing his pen down and I roll my eyes, "Yah gwan like mi do it on purpose" I argue putting down the Spanish textbook.
It's been 3 years since that day in the library and here I am struggling with Spanish once more. I was now in upper six at Alpha and even though I passed CSEC Spanish with a two and bawl blood seh mi nah do CAPE Spanish, mi come fi realize seh mi a liad.
"Yah piss me off now bredda" Nico says hissing his teeth and I pout.
"Stop gwan suh cause when you a struggle wid maths and yuh tough head cyah comprehend simple addition me did have more than patience" I tell him starting to feel away about asking him for help cause this bredda affi always gwan the most way.
"As a matter a fact yuh can gwan mi will do it myself" I said gathering my stuff to leave.
Sometimes me cyah bother with him and his mood swings, like say a my fault Kayla nah feature him but me a the wrong person fi wah come take out yuh woman problems pan.
'Then dem did still deh?' my subconscious asked. Yes mi love, if you even wah call it that.
"Sorry mi never mean fi be harsh" he apologizes with a sigh but I wasn't having it today because it wasn't a one-time thing. Lately, it's become a frequent habit of his to take out all his problems on me but mi nah be nobody punching bag today.
"That you say all the while Nico, mi tired a it now" I muttered softly before walking away.
Waiting at the bus stop at 6:13 inna the evening wasn't so bad, at least people did still deh pan the road suh mi nah fi too worry bout nothing. Nico has been texting me asking where I was but I'm ignoring him, cyah manage him right now.
Slipping my phone into my bag after checking the time, a black Urus pulls up in front of me and the passenger window rolls down, "Get in" came a stern deep voice that sent familiar chills down my spine.
Looking over at Azim, I slowly made my way over to the car making sure nobody weh me know nah watch me cause this would a reach back a ville before me even step foot inna the car.
"Seatbelt" he says after I closed the door and I hurriedly put it on before he drove off.
The last time I saw him was at that party 3 years ago, since then I had yet to hear from him again or even glimpse him for that matter.
But even after three years, this man was still handsome maybe more so than before. Glancing at me, I quickly looked away before he could catch me staring and wonder why I am.
"Didn't your parents warn you about getting in a stranger's car?" he suddenly asked and I looked over at him, I was about to reply asking why him bring that up out of nowhere when my phone started to ring.
