The Summer Break

Chapter Four

                                    Selena's pov
      This boy wasn't like the others. His luscious locks, beautiful blue eyes and perfect tanned body were mesmerizing. But I would never be able to look at myself in the mirror if I cheated on Damon.
      We set up our spot on the beach. I kept seeing Sarah glancing up at the beautiful boy, but to be fair, I can't blame her. I caught myself staring at him a few times too.
     While we were tanning, one of the lifeguards tapped me on the shoulder and needed to borrow a towel because his hair was drenched.
       "Hey, sorry to bother you, but can I borrow a towel?" he asked.
       "Yeah, of course!" I said, which butterflies roaming around in my stomach.
       Using the towel, he dried off his hair in the most charming way. I'm not sure if that's possible, but he made it work.
       "My brother, Matt, poured water all over my head.", he said while drying off.
       "Yeah, I understand, I remember when my brother used to be like that.", I said giggling.
        "By the way, what's your name?", he asked.
       "Selena, and you are?", I say with an obvious amount of nervousness.
       "Chris. I noticed you guys haven't gone in the water?"
       "Yeah that's not really our thing, it's a little too cold for my liking."
       "Oh don't be such a baby about it, come on I'll show you it's not that bad."
       "If you wanna go in so bad, you can go with Jason."
       "Who's Jason, your boyfriend?"
        "Ew no, it's Sarah's little brother!" I exclaimed.
       We both looked at Jason but he's nowhere to be found, then we see him fighting for his life between each powerful wave crashing onto him, barely being able to catch a break.
