I woke up to a missed call from Jack and I was highly confused.

I went against my better judgement and called him back.

"Hello." He says
"Hi." I say
"So.. Madison is flying in today and maybe you and her could possibly become friends?"
"So now you think you and I are cool and I should be buddy buddy with your girlfriend?" I say
"No.. I was just thinking it would be good publicity for you as well. Because my fans follow her, and if she tweets something with you or posts a snapchat, people will discover you."
"So you want me to use your girlfriend? This is why I hate living in California, all people care about is followers and views. I'll be her friend but not to publicize myself."
"Great. Be ready in an hour so we can go to the airport."

I ended the phone call with a long and over dramatized groan as I got up from my bed.

I put my phone on the counter of my bathroom and turned on the steaming shower and got in. I sung my heart out but was also cautious of time considering it takes me forever to get ready. Once I got out, I put on a light blue see through tank top with a black bandeau under it with black and white Aztec shorts and I slid on my white converse. I plugged in my straightener and put on my makeup. I did my hair and walked out and threw myself on my bed. I unlocked my phone and opened twitter.

"Rumor has it! Jade Gilinsky spotted with Vine star Taylor Caniff at Coachella!" Was the first thing on my timeline. I scrolled through my mentions only to read hate and the occasional love tweets. I followed a few people and tweeted,

"Can't wait to finally meet @MadisonElleBeer, only heard great things about you!" she had retweeted and also tweeted

"@jade_gilinsky same goes for you!! See you soon Jade!"

Even though I was adopted, my parents let me keep my real last name. What I said about my 'parents' to Jack last night was not true at all because I could not ask for better. The only down fall is when we go to family gatherings and little kids ask why I don't look like my mom or dad because they look like theirs.

I walked to my front porch and sat outside and waited for Jack to pull in. I scrolled through my news feed on Instagram and then I heard Jacks car pull into the drive way.

"Sup." I said as I hopped in, He nodded his head and turned the radio up. The loud music filled my ear drums and I sung to Speakers by Sam Hunt which surprised me that Jack was listening to it. I felt him staring at me so I stopped singing and told him to keep his eyes on the road

"You're a good singer, Jade."
"I've been told."
"Make a cover and post it."
"I'd rather not." I say as he made a sharp turn into the airport parking lot.

I got out of his car and walked towards the entrance and we went to Starbucks then went to the gate where Madison would be.

Soon enough I saw a girl with a light blue short sleeve button up with leggings and combat boots walk towards us. Her face was covered by sunglasses but her long black her gave it away that it was Madison.

"So nice to finally meet you!! Jack talks about how much he wanted to find you! Wow this is crazy!" She says as soon as she spots us.

I laughed and pulled out my phone to text my friend,
"We just picked up Madison from the airport and she's acting like my best friend. So beyond awkward. Jack literally wants me to use his girlfriend to publicize myself."
He replied shortly after with
"That's Jack for you."

When we got to Jacks car both Madison and I waited for someone to sit in the front.
"go ahead. I don't care," I said as I sat in the back seat.

The car ride back was so quiet. I assumed we were going to Nash and Cameron's apartment because we passed through my town.

"So Jade, I seen the video Jack took of you on snapchat of you singing. You're mad good. We need to do something together."
"That sounds so fun! Totally."
