chapter 4

Miras POV
When I woke up I was back in my room. The pain in my chest was dulled to more of an irritating itch.
It had felt that Jace was there with me. But when I searched the room he wasn't. Jaces mom walked in.
" Mira you're awake that's good. Is there anything you would like to eat?"
I shake my head. For some reason my appetite was a little weird. I Wouldn't be hungry in the morning at all.
"No ma'am I'm not hungry. Maybe around lunch time."
She looked a little dissapointed with my answer but didn't argue with me. So she left.
Then everything that happened yesterday hit me.
What were those cells, and why were they there? I wanted to talk to Jace about it, but he was still gone on his trip for another week.
I needed Luca.
I grabbed an old sweater and a pair of jeans then left to go find him.
There were tons of people walking around staring at me funny. I decided to try and talk to one of them.
" excuse me?" I yelled out at this one older lady.
She stopped in her tracks and turned to see who was calling her.
When she saw me she immediately bowed her head.
"Yes princess, what can I help you with?"
I frowned at her comment.
"Ummm right. I was just looking for Luca. Is he around here."
She shook her head.
"Young master went for a run with prince Jace. He should be back later."
Now I was really confused.what weren't they telling me. All of these secrets were driving me crazy.
So I decided to go find him myself.
"Where exactly did they go running?"
"Out by the fields of course just about a mile behind the house. If not there he'll be in a cabin a few miles out."
I nod, "thank you so much."
I quickly ran outside to head to the fields. I needed answers. And I needed them now.

Jaces POV
Luca and I did some rounds around the house checking the barriers.
"So when do you think she'll be ready to see you again?"
Luca gasped out when we stopped.
"Not sure. Mother says one more week. We should trust her judgment. I want to see her now but she still isn't healthy enough for the shift."
Luca sighed. "Wellwe better do something fast man. She's asking questions and getting into dangerous places in the house. I still can't believe she found the dungeon that was just bad luck on our part. Now they know she's your mate."
"I know, I'm trying to think of ways to keep her hidden."
Luca started to laugh. I growled at him
"What's so funny?"
He was now rolling in the grass trying to catch his breath.
"Mira is not one for being boxed up. Trust me. I'm surprised she's not running outside right now."
"LUCA!!!!!" A voice yelled out.
Lucas face paled. "I spoke way to soon dude. You need to go back to the cabin. That's Mira.'
My wolf whimpered wanting to see her again. I had to push him back.
"Please get her back home. I can't afford to lose her."
He smiled. "Don't worry. I got your back man. Now go."
I glanced miras way before I took off. Away from my mate once again.
