February 2nd, 1985
She took her first step today. It was wobbly and she took a bit of a tumble, but she did it. I feel almost as proud as when our dear Theodore took his first step. The doctor wants to start testing the new genes tomorrow. I still think it's too early, but the doctor, as always, doesn't listen to me.
Maybe it is the excitement of new creation that clouds my judgement, but I no longer care if he does. Or maybe it is the thought of finally coming home to you and the child that I barely know.
Whenever it may be, I'm coming home soon dear Bayne. Give little Theo a kiss for me.
