Not what I usually write, but I have a hyperfixation on Hogwarts Legacy, right now, so enjoy some Sebastian and Ominis.

Content warnings - really shit writing that probably isn't even close to canon even if I tried

The one word warning was cold and bitter as it echoed off the walls of the cellar. When Ominis had said it initially, it tasted like wet dirt and salty urine.

   "Crucio."

Searing hot pain and flashes of red plagued his senses. He could hear a violent scream, his lungs threatening to burn through his chest. His fingernails clawed at the floor as he writhed on his side, the agonizing pain of the curse ripping through his body.

As fast as it came, it was over.

Ominis woke with a start. A strangled cry and a gagging noise came from his chest that screamed in horror. He reached for the bedside table between the two beds, but knocked over a variety of objects.

His fingers twitched and his palms itched to tear at his skin in an attempt to rid him of the pain. He wanted to let his skin melt off and allow his organs to explode just to be rid of the grasp of agony the curse had on him.

Another choked noise came from him.

Sebastian nearly keeled over at the sound that filled the room. He rolled over swiftly, shouting a quick "levioso!" before the oil lamp hit the ground and shattered. His eyes maneuvered in the poor light to Ominis' bed and it clicked.

   It happened again.

Ominis flinched when he felt hands on his shoulders. Twisting his body, he grabbed his wand from under his pillow and pointed it to the source. His breath was erratic, a pounding trapped in his ears and head, vibrating his sightless eyes.

He only withdrew when he realized who it was. Who's calloused fingers grazed his knuckles. A soft swish came with every movement, the sound of Sebastian's robes rubbing together making Ominis' teeth grit together as he tried to steady his breathing.

He could feel Sebastian's concerned eyes on him.

"You absolute idiot," Ominis muttered with a tremor. "I'm fine."

Sebastian just sighed and took Ominis' wand gingerly, setting it to the side. His fingers traced slow shapes into his knuckles until his breathing became steady and strong.

"I'm sorry." Was all he said before shifting off the bed.

   Ominis sighed. "I am too."

The room was silent for the rest of the night as they slept in their respected beds, wands held close to their chests.
