Hayate was in his bedroom, Kimono down to his stomach as he looked at his scar in his chest.
He was confused as to how one thing lead to another. Why did you stab him? Kill him? And how did you resurrect him?
He was shaken up from experiencing death. He had saw the other side, and there was nothing but darkness.
He didn't want to experience that again. That feeling of a never ending loneliness and doom.
His slender fingers traced the grotesque stabbing scar that laid in the center of his chest.
Genji walked in, holding a tray of miso soup and a cup of pipping hot Sencha tea.
"Y/n-sama told me to make you dinner." Genji said as he sat the tray down beside Hayate's futon.
The white haired boy smiled at your kind gesture and indulged in Genji's splendid cooking.
Genji sat beside his coworker, and his brown eyes fell on Hayate's scar.
He pointed at it and said "Where did you get that from? I don't remember seeing that before."
Hayate tried to think of a way to respond to Genji.
Genji reached out to touch the scar that had looked like it's been there for years.
"It looks really bad... seriously, when did you get this? How come I've never noticed?"
Hayate covered himself and pondered on whether he should tell Genji or not.
Would he even believe him?
Well, perhaps he would. Genji was a strong believer in Shintoism, and was very much the most devoted person there other than the priestess.
"Genji... would you believe me if I told you that I think Y/n-same is a God? Like a literal Kami?" He asked, looking into Genji's eyes.
He looked puzzled at first but thought about that theory more deeply.
It made sense.... you were so Godly already, it was hard to believe someone as ethereal as you could be human like the rest of them.
No way could Y/n-sama be the same species as the boys.
"I wouldn't doubt it." Genji replied.
Hayate looked down at his lap and said "Y/n-sama killed me last night... I have experienced death, Genji. But, she brought me back to life. I don't know how. It was like I took a long nap and had a nightmare, then I woke up."
Genji looked shocked and intrigued. You couldn't possibly end someone's life, you were much too divine for such a cruel action.
"Y/n-sama... killed you? B-but how... I-I don't understand—"
Genji was interrupted by you walking in.
"How are you feeling, Hayate?"
They both avoided eye contact as anxiety and fear radiated off their bodies. It honestly pleased you. You liked that they feared you.
It might've even turned you on a bit.
"I-I'm fine, Y/n-sama..." Hayate said, brown eyes glued to the floor.
"That's good. Genji, thank you for making Hayate dinner." You walked out and prostrated yourself before the Kami statue as Daisuke was meditating beside you.
