Missing the birth
Kylian was away in Dortmund for the first leg of the champions league last 16. "How are you feeling?" Kylian asked as he facetimed you while he was in bed
"I am okay. Feeling rubbish, hoping I don't go into labour without you" You pouted. "I really hope you don't, I would hate it if you did when I wasn't there" you sighed. "I ache so much, why is she such a kicker? She is as annoying as you are" you laughed as Kylian's face changed. "I will ignore that" He rolled his eyes.
You said goodbye to him as you went off of the phone. You went downstairs to go and see your mum who had come over from her home in Lille. You were really grateful for having her company while Kylian wasn't here.
"You okay sweetie?" Your mother asks as you sit at the dining table in the kitchen. "I am exhausted, feeling rubbish. Is this normal?" You panicked. "It is fine sweetie. You are allowed to feel like this, you have a few weeks left. Just keep calm and don't do too much" you nodded as she passed you a cup of tea.
"Thanks mum. I am enjoying having you here. Hopefully she comes once Kylian is here" you laughed rubbing your bump as you feel her kick. "Ouch that hurt" you rubbed the spot again.
"Mum I am going to take my tea upstairs. My back is killing me, going to sit in bed" you told her. "Alright, call me if you need me" She shouted. You eventually got upstairs, felt like there was way more stairs than normal. You crawled into bed, laying under the duvet.
Trying your hardest to ignore your back pain, by snuggling up into your cushions with the giant pregnancy pillow behind you. You fell asleep quite quickly, until something woke you up. "Shit" you said, peeling yourself off of the bed. "Ooh that hurts. Please please let that not be contractions" you mumbled, now felt real.
Trying your hardest now not to panic about this. You grabbed your phone, to get the app up to time your contractions. "MUMMM, can you come upstairs please?" you screamed as loud as you could despite having another contraction coming through.
Your mum come rushing into your bedroom frantically. "What's wrong?" you breathed in and out. "My contractions have started. I will ring my midwife and we can talk about it" you told her as she held your hands trying her hardest to reassure you the best she could.
"Lets time it" she told you as she took the phone off of you. You nodded as she timed it on your phone. "I suggest we go to the hospital now darling. I am going to help you into the car and then get your bags. I will need to call Kylian. But I don't know when we should do it" you nodded because talking hurt right now.
She helped you down the stairs and headed in to the car. "Oh my god" you breathed in and out. Your mother got all the bags and headed to the hospital. "This feels real now, she is 2 weeks early. Why is she me? I am always early for everything" You heavily sighed "Because I am early for everything. So you are me and she will be you. Now grip my leg if you feel a contraction. I will get you there before the princess comes out" you laughed, despite feeling rubbish.
Finally getting to the hospital which felt like an eternity, you were there. Your mum dropped you off at the front of the maternity hospital. Desperately finding a car parking space. "Come on" she hurried, grabbing your hand as you made your way to the reception.
"My daughter rang her midwife earlier, to say she was having contractions. She is two weeks early" your mum ushered to the woman at the desk, pointing over at you. Crippled over in pain as another contraction came. "That's fine. Come with me. We have everything ready for you" she smiled as you eventually followed her.
The midwife looked at all your observations and you were 3 centimetres dilated. "I want Kylian" you moaned. "It's okay, I maybe should contact him. But I don't want to stress him about before his game" you shook your head. "Don't, he kicks off in 4 hours. He gets stressed so easily on game days. I will speak to him once the game is finished.
The next 15 hours were the hardest of your life. Doing this without Kylian was so hard, your mum was great help. But you were really struggling.
"Y/N now you can push. You are ready" You squeezed your mum's hand so tightly as you pushed. "She's coming, I can see the head" you were really sweating now. "I can't. I am too tired" you mumbled as your mum wiped your sweaty head.
You did your final push as you felt your little girl arrive into the world. "You did it darling" She kissed your head as the nurses and midwifes put your daughter in your arms. "Thank you so so much" you raspy voice mumbled.
You asked the nurse to take a photo, so you could send to Kylian. You completely forgot to told him you had gone into labour due to the fact PSG had lost. "Hello" you said as your mum held your phone. He was on the plane, flying home from Dortmund "Oh my god, you had her? When I missed it all" He pouted. "Sorry babe, she wanted to come into the world early" you smiled.
"Well I can't wait to see my two princesses now. Thank you and I love you so much. I should be home soon. I cannot wait to see you" you smiled, as that was all the energy you had left in your body.
