Normally, for this type of problems he prefers going to Jin, he always gave great advice about these matters. But tonight, there was no answer to the incessantly ringing phone and no seen of the tons of messages Namjoon sent him. After all he is married now, what was Namjoon expecting?.
At the end he just decided to scroll through some streaming services trying to find some kind of inspiration. One section he scrolled through had some descriptions that jumped out at him.
"Teen romantic comedies..." He murmured with sudden interest. "Maybe these can help me figure out how to get her to talk to me again..."
Earlier that day he had an ugly fight with his dear girlfriend Rosè. She had left him standing in the middle of the street after he said something he shouldn't have. He'd spent the whole day stewing on what to do. Now he was marathoning every teen romcom while taking notes and drinking more than he realised.
The night bled into the dawn and Namjoon had passed out at some point. He woke up with a start when the late morning sun started glaring in his eyes. A page of notes was still stuck to his face, embedded in some stubble as he rushed to get ready, yanking it off only once he saw it in the bathroom mirror. His shirt half tucked in, hairs messy but he cared none. He dashed out of the door, there were things to do, plans to make, groundwork to lay!
In between of it all came his writer friend, Hoseok from inside his apartment. "Where's the fire, bro?" His quirked eyebrow was brief as he watched Namjoon fly past him at top speed. Hoseok followed Namjoon still in his pajamas.
"I have a relationship to save!" Namjoon called back barely slowing down until he ran right into a parked car. Hoseok couldn't hold in the laugh bubbling up from his chest before doubling over to let it run out.
"And whose relationship are you trying to save?" he asked after a moment to regain his composure. His sceptical eyes mocked Namjoon as he got to his feet.
"Mine! And I don't need your help either! I have a plan!" He thrust the crinkled sheet of paper at Hoseok's face. The scepticism on his face deepened as he took the paper. An almost constant stream of snickers passed his lips and his whole body shook with the effort not to laugh right in Namjoon's face.
"And where did we get this plan?" He wondered as he looked at Namjoon's in fond exasperation.
"From a movie! Well a couple of movies! But I pieced the whole thing together myself!" Hoseok couldn't bring himself to tell his friend how terrible his plan was when Namjoon seemed so proud of himself.
"It'll be faster if you let me drive you around to get this stuff." Namjoon's face lit up.
"Thanks, hobi!"

Tink...
Tink...
Tink...
Nothing. Namjoon sighed as he looked up at the illuminated window.
"Maybe she's at work?" Hoseok offered as he leaned against the front quarter panel of his car.
