𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌

JUNE

I sat on the couch playing the video game I had gotten in Seattle.

I was in our farm house. Me, Dina, and Ellie had all decided we should live together. We thought it was a good idea to help Dina out with the baby.

I actually loved living here. We got our own space away from everyone else.

"Hey," Dina came in the living room. "you mind helping outside?" She dried her hands with a towel.

"Yeah, in a second." I focused on the game and I saw Dina cross her arms from the corner of my eye. "How long have you been playing that game?"

"I'm on the last level." I said and Dina laughed. "Wait- you've been playing that thing for like a year already and you're barely finishing-"

"Stop." I froze. "Dina..." I stood up. "Dina, I did it." I smiled and she walked up to me. "Really?" She looked over my shoulder at the game.

We watched as the red guy reunited with the princess.

"Holy shit, you did do it." Dina laughed and I looked over at her. "I'm going to go tell Ellie."

"Okay, just come back down to help." Dina said as I walked away. "I will. I promise." I ran up the stairs tripping on one step.

Dina laughed as I tripped, but I ignored it and continued running up the steps. I made my way to our room, but Ellie wasn't there.

So I checked the craft room. It was a room where Ellie could draw and paint, Dina could knit, and I could carve.

Ellie wasn't there, though.

I went over to Dina's room and there she was. She was standing in front of JJs crib.

"Ellie." I said out of breath and she turned to me smiling. "What's up?"

"You're not going to believe this." I sat down on the bed and she sat next to me. "What?"

"I finished." I showed her the video game. The red guy and the princess waved at the screen as confetti fell.

Ellie looked at it and smiled.

"Cool, right?" I asked and she laughed. "So cool." She took the game from my hand and took a closer look. "Finally." She smiled and I rolled my eyes playfully. "It didn't even take me that long."

"Well," Ellie closed the console and put it down. She smirked at me a little. "I think this is something worth celebrating." She moved in closer and I smiled. "I think so too." I put my hand on the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss.

We moved our lips in sync and she grabbed the side of my face. I moved my hands up to her hair as she moved hers down my body. She began putting her hands under my shirt as we continued to kiss.

I felt her hands go up my torso as she began kissing my neck.

I pressed our bodies close together as she continued kissing my neck and collarbone. I remembered about my promise to Dina and groaned. "I need to go help outside."

Ellie continued kissing and I laughed. "I have to go."

"Okay, okay." Ellie chuckled and stopped. "I'll go with you."

"Yeah, you better." I stood up and she groaned. "As soon as we get back-"

"Yeah, yeah." I slapped her back lightly. "Let's go."

She stood up and went over to get JJ. "Maybe this guy can tag along."

"Hi, baby." I smiled grabbing his soft hand.
