The Last Test

Part one

it was the morning of The last test but I had been up all night nervous hearing those whispers again ''you have a villain power'' ''you're a villain and don't forget it!'' ''you'll never be a hero'' ''freak'' ''VILLAIN!'' sitting on the couch exhausted but couldn't go to sleep but then Elle walks down the hallway wearing her combat suit that each last year student at superhero high school has to wear I watch as she sleepily walks in to the kitchen I blush the suit was skin tight thin material we eat a light breakfast as I limp down the hall next to Elle feeling selfconsonscious in the tight suit Emma and Zane were walking ahead of us laughing and joking we make it to the bus every year the test is at a different location that only the teachers know about after awhile Elle looks down at my leg that stretched out and says concerned ''Are you okay be okay with your leg?'' I give a small smile and say ''don't worry i'll be fine'' but I was worried too after a painstakingly long time we grab the backpacks with limited food and tools I try to put on a brave face for Elle's sake but she sees right through it we get ready and a voice over the speakers says ''ready set go!'' as everyone races in to the force field I take one last deep breath before we race in to the rainforest my heart is pounding trying to get ready for what ever comes our way ''first *huff* we should *huff* find somewhere to *huff* set camp'' Elle says running I nod gritting my teeth as I ran my every time I put my leg down feeling a jolt of pain after awhile Elle says ''how about here we can make a platform in the *huff* tree'' pointing to a huge tree ''smart *huff* so no *huff* one can see *huff* us'' my limp worse than it was before I cut limps from other trees and hand them up to Elle who makes sure they are all secure with the rope that she found in her bag when we finished Elle jumps down and says ''we need to find food lets not eat our rations if we can help it'' finally something that I was good at I love plants and know which ones we can eat and which ones we can't it was already starting to get dark Elle lite a very small fire on her thumb but I could tell in the faint light that it hurt her she had told me that her body was made for the power is this what she had meant? that her own fire burned her I worked as fast as I could in the dim light to find edible plants we found enough for tonight but not much but as we started to head back to the platform we heard a panicked voice call out ''Touya Elle is that you? Emma needs help!'' we follow Zane I see Emma on the ground blood pooling under her I see terrible image of Elle on the ground but Emma was bleeding way more than Elle was Elle runs over and kneels down next to her best friend she get the first aid kit out her bag but Emma weakly says ''save... your... supplies *cough cough* Elle shakes her head and whispers ''no...'' Zane bends down next to her she was already too pale she had lost to much blood there were big claw marks from her shoulder across her chest Emma says ''I *cough cough* love you Zane...'' her head lulls to the side her eyes staring blankly past us Zane cries out I put a arm around his shoulder looking down at the claw marks thinking what could've done something like that the reality that anyone of us could be next hits me
