Eyes that glow

Its been forever but im back! My girlfriend stole me but i haven't forgotten about you or the cliff hangers i left you on been practicing art and getting future stuff figured out

You couldn’t get those protruding eyes out of your head even when morning struck, it was as if a magic spell was casted upon you. Years ago, as a kid you believed in magic but these few days it feels more real then before

Curiosity towards those red like drops of light called to you in the darkness of the night. Sun was lost puppy however following you around, he even tried joining you in the bathroom! Luckily his royal duties called and he bid farewell, after an hour or two of exploring the many cryptic halls and extravagant paintings you decided to go for a stroll. You painted a picture of just an innocent picnic and they fell for it so easily, just by adding suns name you were free from the castles iron doors, free from all their punishments. Free to do as you pleased.

It felt almost surreal to see the grass and wild flowers once more the smell of oak trees and honey from the bees. You loved every minute of it! You were finally free! You could even escape at this rate! You thought looking at the clouds. The cool breeze making it feel peaceful…Oh peaceful it was until you were falling into the ground, the earth sinking beneath you like quicksand to swallow you whole.

you screamed and called for help but it was all futile as the sand filled you mouth and senses. You were jolted awake in a place of color. Reds blues greens and even purples flooded your vision, on further inspection you found they were plastic a slight squish you stood up the color leaving your vision and replaced by broken play structures and dying lights that flickered obnoxiously in need of replacements.

You were at the abandoned daycare! Back home back to see your cat back to taste coffee back to-

but you weren’t alone, eyes flared at you like a lion. Sharp claws and teeth a dark cape wrapped around weirdly reminded you of beauty and the beast…but oh was this no beast it was a creature something straight out of a horror film not some Disney film! A voice crackled “What’s your name?” it cooed something about it felt eerily calm you clenched your fists swallowing thickly to hold back your tears.

“Y/N” and red eyes the same ones you saw that night glowed scanning your form then it all went black the lights breaking and flashing within a blink of your eyes you were staring into a tea cup. “Wah?” sun stared at you curiously as he ate a crumpet “You okay?” he asked and all you could do was look back unsure.

You wanted to ask sun find out who those red eyes belong to, what bell that chimed a familiar tune. But you knew he was hiding something. Sun tried to keep it locked away but it’d slip out in conversations, mentioning someone dear to him, one time he said my brother. It was peculiar and though you couldn’t ask you could investigate, so when sun bid you farewell that night you went searching.

Something anything to explain the strange man! The creature who haunted your dreams and why sun was so stubborn on having you not leave the chambers at night, you ponder read his diaries and sometimes you’d look out his window seeing a faint red glow or the moon shining down illuminating the room in a iridescent glow.

You weren’t stupid you knew if sun had a brother hed be either sunset or moon but you weren’t sure who or what they’d look like, if they used to live here and from suns diary itd mean that who ever it was, they were casted away because of a powerful witch. It now made sense the missing puzzle pieces fitting together the only next step was how to meet his brother.
