✩ catch-up: as your lover (menéndez)

Also shouting out my dear friend saintvulgaris and tumblr user senka-mesecine for their iconic Menéndez headcanons that got me so invested in him <3 

Note that, as with Yuri, I exclusively ship Menéndez with male characters; I'm writing these headcanons with that (really, a specific character whose identity will remain secret) in mind. Beloved is still gender-neutral, as always. Also, I have the older version of him in mind for this.

What you steal from him: Beloved definitely likes to get ahold of Raúl's suit jackets and cologne (ideas for what scents he likes are welcomed! ^^'). It won't take long for him to notice either of these things have 'disappeared', but he quickly calms down once he realises that his lover just wanted to 'borrow' them. He finds it endearing. 

What you call him: He'll adore any nickname you find for him, whether it's something really romantic (which he's an absolute sucker for, lbr) or something sillier. His friends have definitely called him 'horny Cyclops' so if beloved joins in on that, he'll get another laugh out of it. 

What he calls you: Classic romantic petnames abound, especially in Spanish; 'mi amor' is one of his favorites. He'll also think of a special nickname just for beloved. He uses nicknames so often, he'll only call beloved by their real name when either having a serious conversation with them or introducing them to someone else. Conversely, beloved is the only person he'll call by a petname. 

What he likes about you: Raúl adores passion in people. Whether beloved wears their heart on their sleeve, or only shows it when they're comfortable, he loves how deeply they ultimately care. Though it might be surprising given his track record, he also adores beloved for their kindness towards those they care for, and how genuine they are. 

What he steals from you: It could be anything. When Raúl steals something from beloved, it's for one (or both!) of two reasons: 1) to figure out what gifts to next give them, 2) to keep something to remember them by in case they'll be away for whatever reason. Separation anxiety is strong with this man. 

What you wear that belongs to him: Probably his suit jackets won't fit on them, but I can see beloved wearing them anyway. They'll also want to try on his shirts in general. Needless to say, Raúl loves how beloved looks in his clothes, and is reluctant to ask for them back. 

Pickup line he uses: "Do you have the power of telepathy? Because you've been on my mind all day!" 

How he kisses: Either slow and deep or rough and desperate; either way, his kisses are always, always passionate. He quite literally pours his heart out to beloved into every kiss. 

Where he kisses: Mostly on beloved's lips (as described above), and he also does a lot of those romantic hand kisses, but really? He'll kiss anywhere he finds beloved likes it. 

His best friend: Can I be honest here? I really want Raúl and Section to be friends. I want to see them putting the rough past behind them, bit by bit, as they realise they're more alike than they previously thought - those they lost along with a lack of security in their lives has deeply affected each of them. Anyway. I want them on the same side of the fight. I want them talking about their enemies and laughing. I want them to go on double dates and fawn over their respective lovers. I want them to hug. 
Other than that, a handful of OCs of mine and Alice's are close friends with Raúl; that's another cool thing. 

Your best friend: Depends on beloved and their background, though Raúl is more likely to date someone with whom he could share mutual friends.
