not long after did they finally stop next to the familiar gate of the (lastname) residence. with a similar intent in mind, the pair was just about to embrace each other, a small gasp sounded a few metres away from where they stood.

"(name)..." the assumed woman started, making the said girl sweatdrop. "why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend all along?! i could have stopped all those blind dates i forced you to go on!"

ah, yes. the mother of three and the girl sugawara was now dating. his eyes widened at the mention of blind dates, trying his best to not turn to the girl in question.

"you must be the boyfriend! what's your name? i'm (lastname) reiko, my darling daughter's mother!" reiko asked as she lightly shoved her daughter away to unlock the gate next to them. before he got to answer, (lastname)'s mother invited him inside their home.

the three took off their shoes and entered the warm atmosphere of the (lastname) residence, immediately being invited with shouts of annoyance from the living room. sugawara could tell reiko was visibly irritated as she quickly put down the bags she was carrying and went over to slap the back of their heads.

"what are you two doing?! we have a guest over, so i expect the living room to be spotless, in the state it was previously in this morning!" with a huff, reiko grabbed the bags and entered the kitchen.

the two immediately went to work putting the pillows they used away and dusting them off. while they were at it, sugawara observed their facial features, wondering just who could the pair be.

he knew they were his girlfriend's siblings, but he couldn't tell who was older or younger. but his wondering came to a stop when the whole situation dawned on him.

he was meeting his girlfriend's family barely half an hour after he asked her?? with the newfound nervousness, he instinctively squeezed (lastname)'s hand, who in turn lightly drew circles at the back of his hand with her thumb.

"aha! done!" the male (lastname) finally proclaimed, laughing to himself proudly and didn't realise the couple watching them. the other female (lastname) did, because she grabbed hold of his shoulders and forcefully turned him around to face them.

he immediately locked eyes with koushi. the pair blinked once, then twice, then thrice, before finally realising he wasn't dreaming. (lastname) quickly went ahead to cover her boyfriend's ears as she predicted what was coming.

"(LASTNAME) (NICKNAME)?! DO NOT TELL ME THAT IS YOUR BOYFRIEND! I DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS COUPLELISATION, NO! YOU'RE ONLY EIGHTEEN, AND NOT AT THE AGE—" his yelling was cut off when an older man entered the living room and threw a pillow at him.

"I'M TRYING TO FIX YOUR BROKEN BED FRAME, REO! SO UNLESS YOU TONE DOWN YOUR VOICE, YOU'LL BE SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR TONIGHT!" the man sugawara assumed was the father boomed as he massaged his forehead before leaving.

(lastname) sighed tiredly as her hands fell back to her sides and her head leaned against sugawara's shoulder. "i'm sorry for their first impressions, suga-san." sugawara declined and reassured her that it was fine. "and call me koushi. you're my girlfriend now, aren't you?"

the silver-haired male giggled when he saw a faint nod of (name)'s head as he lightly caressed her shoulder. just then, he saw two pairs of feet standing in front of him, which made him look up.
