Third person's POV
Once Siobhan had found her father, she pulled him up by his arm and she guided him towards the surface of the water on the ship and they arrived at a part of the ship where they were swimming in the water and she said to him as he took a breathe of air and she helped him to lean onto the railing of the ship "Dad?, just breathe, dad" "Neteyam?" Jake asked her since he thought that he had died and Siobhan was Neteyam while he was catching his breathe before Siobhan said to him "No, dad, it's Siobhan" "Oh, Siobhan" Jake said to her with a sigh of relief before she said to him "I'm sorry sir, I'm sorry about Neteyam, it's all my fault" "Just focus on getting out" Jake said to her before Siobhan started to look around for a way out and she turned around as she noticed a light flicking on and off behind herself and the water was rising before she turned around and she said to her father "We're losing air pocket, come on, we've got to move, come on dad" Jake was struggling to hang onto the railing and he was breathing really hard while he was saying to Siobhan "You know your way out" "Yeah, but dad, it's going to be a long breathe hold" "I can't make it but you can, you can if you go right now" "No, no, I can't lose you too, dad, please" Siobhan then thought of an idea to calm her father down and to get him to come with her as she placed a hand onto his chest and she said to him "You just have to slow your heart down and be really calm, breathe from here, dad breathe from here" Siobhan then started to take some deep breathes while Jake copied her before she said to her father as she remembered what Aonung had taught her about the way of the water "The way of the water has no beginning and no end, the sea is around you and in you, the sea is your home before your birth and after your death, the sea takes and the sea gives, water connects all things, life to death and darkness to light"
Later on....
The water was up to their heads now and Siobhan said to her father as he was still taking some deep breathes "Dad, you can do this, last breathe" The pair then dived down into the water and they began to swim through the ship as Siobhan was leading her father. Once they had gotten out of the ship, a crowd of glowing yellow fish had appeared and they were leading Jake and Siobhan towards the way to get up to the surface of the water. Siobhan then looked back before she reached out towards her father and the pair began to swim up towards the surface of the water as they were finally free from the ship while Siobhan holds onto her father to support him but Jake was starting to struggle to breathe and he was making some some sounds of some choking noises before Pania had appeared beside the pair with a noise coming from her as she held out one of her flippers towards them before Jake and Siobhan grabbed onto her flipper and they held on as she swims them up towards the surface of the water and they broke the surface of the water as Pania releases a breathe while Jake was breathing heavily and Siobhan said to him "Dad, hang on and just breathe" Siobhan then turned around to Pania and she placed her hands onto Pania's skin while she looked at her eye and she said to Pania "Thank you" Pania then released a chirping sound to Siobhan before Jake looked at Siobhan and he gently grabbed her face with one of his hands before she turned around to look at him and he said to her "I see you, my daughter" Siobhan then blinked in an innocent way as she continued to stare into the comfort of her father's eyes with tears in her eyes but she had only one thing on her mind: Siobhan was seen.
Siobhan's father saw her, but at what cost?, the damage that the sky people had done and what they took would never come back, Siobhan's heart wouldn't be full again and while she stared into her father's eyes, she realised it. The realisation that she would never heal from the wounds that were tearing at her heart, she wouldn't heal from the lost of her older twin brother and it was the person that she needed until the end of her time but the world didn't work in the way that she wanted for it to work, Neteyam was gone and Siobhan was still alive, she just wished that she had been shot instead of Neteyam. The sound of her mother's shouting voice had brought Siobhan out of her trance and she looked over to see her mother, Kiri, Lo'ak and Tuk swimming over to her father, Pania and herself "Ma Jake!" Jake and Siobhan then helped the rest of the Sully family with getting onto Pania's flipper before they comforted each other through the happiness of seeing each other alive and well and the sadness of Neteyam's death as they held each other's hands into the middle part of Pania's flipper. "Thank you, great mother, thank you" Kiri said to Eywa as she was thanking Eywa for her protection over the family during the rescue and Siobhan looked up towards the sky with tears in her eyes, she knew that Neteyam was going to be alright and he was going to always be watching over her from heaven.
