Y/N's Pov

The second Amaimon started counting, I sprinted for my door. I barreled down the hallway, running into the wall as I turned to go down the stairs. In my rush, I almost flung myself down the stairs, luckily I was smart enough to grasp onto the rusty railing. I slammed the entry door open, and sprinted to the forest, not even bothering to close the door behind me. I needed to find a good spot and fast, I was almost entirely sure that Amaimon is going to forego the stairs and just jump out the window.

I ran for a few seconds until I spotted a tree with a really small hole in it, though it seemed small enough for a person to fit through. I jogged up to the tree and immediately started trying to force myself into the hole. It was much easier than I thought, and there was actually quite a bit of space on the inside of the tree. It seemed like the tree was decaying from the inside, probably bark beetles.

I sat in silence for a few minutes listening to the sounds of the forest. My breathing had steadied, and I was just listening for any sign that Amaimon was near me. I glanced down at my watch and it was 10:12, plenty of time before my appointment. Though it has been a few minutes since I hid, so Amaimon should be searching now. I'm not surprised he hasn't found me yet, I'm the best at hide and seek.

After a few more minutes I noticed that the forest had gone completely quiet, which was odd. I shrugged it off and decided to poke my head out of my hiding spot. Big mistake. As I quietly peeked outside of the tree, I turned to the left, only to be met with a face. Amaimon's face to be specific. He was barely an inch away from my face. I yelped and jumped back, though that didn't work very well because of the small space I was in. When I jumped, I smacked my head into the tree. I fell backwards, further into my compromised hiding spot and rubbed my head.

"Ouch ouch ouch ouch, Dammit ouch" I whined repeatedly.

Amaimon poked his head into the tree and said in an almost amused tone, "Found you". I snickered at his unconcerned tone, and looked up at him. His face matched his tone, he looked mildly amused at my pain. He tilted his head and asked, "What's wrong, are you upset that I found you, or upset that I scared you?" He sounded like he was mocking me, which made me super embarrassed, my face flushed light pink and I groaned out a response, "First of all, you didn't scare me. I jumped because I felt like it. Second of all, I'm not upset, I'm in pain".

He shrugged his shoulders and turned around. I slowly got up, still rubbing my head tenderly. I very gracefully fell out of the tree onto my ass. Scrambling to my feet, I quickly dusted myself off and said, "It's your turn to hide". He turned around and smirked, "You're not gonna be able to find me" he said assuredly. I just rolled my eyes and said in a sassy tone, "Sure whatever, I'm sure I can find you in like five minutes".

Amaimon huffed and said, "Alright, count to 150". I turned around and did as he said.

Amaimon's Pov

As soon as I heard her begin to count, I jumped into the trees. I decided not to go to far, seeing as she won't be able to find me anyway. I found a particularly nice tree that was hidden, but had a great view of the forest floor. That way I can keep an eye on my queen.

I hadn't expected that she would be this playful, she seemed very excited? I think that's the word. Finding her was extremely easy, I just followed her scent. I actually found her almost as soon as she found her hiding place, but I decided to watch her for a few minutes as she sat there 'hiding' from me. I got bored so I quietly jumped down to the tree she was inside of. Shortly after, she poked her head out and saw me. Her reaction was quite amusing, and cute? I think I heard big brother use that word to describe something that was pleasantly amusing.

It's been about 15 minutes since she started counting, I'm just going to see how long it takes her to find me, if she can that is.

Y/N's Pov

It's been like 20 minutes and I haven't come close to finding this little shit. The noises in the forest have returned, so I can't really rely on hearing him anymore. "I shouldn't have challenged him" I whined out loud. I'm so stupid. Amaimon is a freaking demon, there is no way I'm going to be able to find him. "Ughhhh, I give up Amaimon!" I shouted, hoping he would hear me and come out from wherever he's hiding. I stopped to shout again when I heard a branch snap behind me. I turned around expecting to see Amaimon, but nobody was there.

"Give up already?" somebody whispered next to my ear. They were close enough that I could feel there breath on the back of my neck. My reflexes kicked in, and I spun around to punch the person behind me. Only to be met with Amimon's stupid grinning face. I had already swung my arm, so I decided to not stop myself from punching him. Unfortunately, he caught my fist like it was nothing.

I groaned again, "Amaimon don't scare me like that". He snickered at my reaction. His face went back to normal as he inquired, "I thought you were going to find me in five minutes?" I merely huffed at his remark and turned around, walking back to the dorm building. I looked down at my watch and it was like 11. Only 7 more hours till I get to meet my precious kitten!

Amaimon caught up to me easily and said, "I don't want to play hide and seek anymore, I'm bored". I chuckled at his short attention span and asked, "Then what would you like to do now?" He just shrugged and we walked in silence all the way back to the dormitories.
