Chatterer's stolen food

Around the Green Forest, Sammy flies to Johnny and Polly to tell the news. " I got news!" Chatterer's food is stolen!" "Johnny and Polly were you at Chatterer's place?" "No." said Johnny and Polly replied the same as well. "We were at the Smiling Pool." said Polly. "Well, someone's going to be sorry." Sammy asked, "Say, how about you guys look for who the thief is and I'll go tell Chatterer about it." Johnny and Polly agreed and they went off to find the thief. 

Chatterer's storeroom was empty. Chatterer was on a branch and pondered who stole his food. At first thought, it would've been Sammy who stole them for payback, when he wanted to look in his storeroom, last Winter. Chatterer went down beneath the tree to find Sammy Jay. However, Sammy spotted Chatterer and went to him. "Hey, Chatterer I know that your nuts are stolen, I told everyone in the Green Forest about it." Johnny and Polly are in search for the thief." said Sammy. "Did you stole all of my food?" Chatterer asked. "No and why would you say that, Chatterer? I would never steal your food." Chatterer mentioned, "Yes you did! You tried to steal my food last Winter!" Sammy yelled, "No I did not!" Chatterer told him again, "Yes you did, don't you remember?" "You know what? Screw this, I'm not going to help you in any way." Sammy flies took off and flew away. "Yeah! You better fly away from me, thief!" Chatterer yelled.

Chatterer didn't really care about Sammy anymore. Meanwhile, Johnny and Polly were still searching for the thief. Johnny found acorns on the ground, they were all over the ground leading a way. Johnny calls Polly, "Hey Polly! I think I found his acorns. "Huh? really?" Polly asked. "Yeah, come look." said Johnny. Polly ran to Johnny as she sees acorns revealing a direction. "I think that might leads us to the thief!" Johnny exclaimed. Polly agreed, "You're right, let's go and follow it!" Johnny followed tracking the acorns, but there was no more acorns.

Johnny was puzzled he tries to sniff the ground then... SNAP! Johnny was caught by surprise. It was a trap that caught his leg.

Polly screamed, "Johnny! Are you okay?" Thankfully, Polly was behind him, she would've got trapped too. Johnny tried to gnaw and get rid of the trap from his leg. Polly told Johnny, "I'm going to go get Chatterer and Sammy, I'll be back!" She took off to get help. Johnny was worried that he might get captured by humans.

Polly went towards Chatterer's tree home and called, "Chatterer! Johnny's in trouble, we must hurry!" The squirrel turned around, "He's in trouble?" "Yes, he is! He got trapped by the leg!" Chatterer climbed down from the tree. He looked up to Polly and said, "Did the thief trap him?" "I'm not sure, I think they used your acorns to trap other squirrels. "Chatterer was enraged "How horrible! They used my acorns for such a trap?! They'll pay for it!" Polly led the way where Johnny was caught. While Chatterer was following Polly to the place. Polly asked, "Say Chatterer, Sammy told us about the situation." "Him? That guy? I don't trust him."

"Why not?" 

"That's because, he is always noisy and takes my food!"

"But Chatterer, Sammy can be sometimes nice, you know." 

They arrived at where Johnny is trapped, so they help him. "Don't worry Johnny." We'll get it off." said Polly. Chatterer and Polly tried to pull the trap from Johnny's leg. Johnny yelped, "Ouch!"  Sorry about that Johnny we're trying to take it off." Chatterer and Polly stopped pulling. "Are you sure this is working?" Said Chatterer. "Hm, not quite." Polly examined. "We need something to unopen the trap." 

"Like..." Polly looked around to see if there's something useful. "We could try to break it with a hard rock. "Polly holds the rock in her hands.

"I don't think a rock would break something that metal, Polly." Johnny said.

"But the rock might dent the trap's metal and it will work, I think." Polly remarked.

Suddenly, Sammy came and started to laugh, "They used your acorns for a trap?" My, my, Polly I bet you're too weak to break that trap in half!" Sammy, hysterically laughs.

Polly got mad and aimed her rock at Sammy and threw it at him. Sammy stops laughing and the rock hits him when he saw it with his own eyes. Sammy falls to the ground his feathers spattered in the air.
