Chapter 3: Over hearing a private talk

~Fall's POV~

I just finished my private training with Itachi in the woods and I'm all tired and sweaty. He does really know how to push someone until they just want to fall over and sleep, but I'm glad he's pushing me I'm glad he's being hard on me it's going to turn into a life lesson someday.

After I finished my shower and get dressed I go and do what tasks I have left to do before dinner;

1. clean the floors.....Done

2. dust the shelves in father's study....Done

3. help mother in the kitchen i.e. set the table...Done

4. be a kid.....uncompleted...

~Sasuke's POV~

We all sit at the table about to start dinner, I glance at Fall she seems worn out what has she been up to today? She only had to do 4 tasks that couldn't have worn her out. Either way I shrug it off and we all start eating then father speaks up...uh no...

"Isn't this lovely? My beautiful wife, two amazing sons and my daughter. Honey you did an amazing job as always cooking dinner tonight." He smiles at mother and at us all but doesn't look at Fall, I glance at Itachi and see him slightly glaring at father and it's clear why he didn't say anything nice before saying daughter. I look at Fall and she's playing with her food she seems upset now, great going father.

"Itachi. My son, you have become an amazing ninja and I know Sasuke will follow in your steps." Father says to Itachi.

"What about Fall, father?" Itachi questions.

"What about her? She's not becoming a ninja and even if I allowed it she wouldn't be as good as you are or Sasuke will become." Itachi and father glare at each other for a moment before having to break it because Fall gets up and walks to her room without saying a word. Great father has just ruined a family dinner, once again.

~Fugaku/Father's POV~

All of the children have gone to their rooms and as I turn to Mikoto to speak to her and gets in before I do.

"How could you say something like that?! You can be really heartless Fugaku!" She screams at me.

"I have a reason for saying what I said Mikoto honey, just let me explain please."

"Fine, explain why you are heartless towards our daughter." She glares clearly trying to fight back the urge to cry and yell.

"I don't want Fall becoming a ninja because she's the princess, our princess, our little girl. Itachi almost died on his last mission I don't want the same thing to happen to Fall, she's the only girl to be born to the head family." I look towards the floor connecting with the hallway then feel somethng wrap around me. I look back up to see Mikoto hugging me while crying into my chest.

She looks up and whispers "You need to tell her that Fugaku...." I nod once. All throughout that talk both Mikoto and I didn't notice Fall standing against a wall in the hallway, she heard the whole thing.....
