As you departed from Cheren and Bianca you couldn't help but feel a little alone. Those two had been your friends since you could remember. Well almost since you could remember. There was the forest after all.

Back when you were little, you lived with your parents in the forest. Your house was also a built in Pokémon sanctuary. It didn't start out that way, but injured Pokémon seemed to have found there way to your old house all the time. Seeking help, safety, and food. And you and your family gave them that.

Back then your friends were Pokémon, but sometimes when you think about life in the forest faint memories of a friendship that used to be come to the surface of your mind. And all you can remember is a boy with green hair.

Going into route one, you ran into a pidove right away. Smiling, you sent out Kokori for his first battle.

"Do you really want to do this buddy?" You asked, looking down at Kokori. He nodded. He wanted to get stronger.

"Use tackle!" You commanded. Kokori charged forward into the pidove and landed the tackle. Making the Pidove take about 30 damage.

"Do it again!" You said. He bashed into the Pidove's side and when Kokori looked again the Pidove had fainted.

Kokori was now a level five Pokémon. He had also learned vine whip. You gave Kokori a little high-five and then continued walking. While you were walking you remembered you forgot to release your Pokémon. A wave of regret flooded your mind as the five Pokéballs dropped from your bag. As soon as they touched the ground the five Pokémon popped out of their Pokéballs and surrounded you. Pai, your Dratini, swirled around you smiling.

"This is Kokori, huh? She said, I like him! Welcome to the fam, little guy."

Pai patted him on the head as the others surrounded him. Millow, your Audino, preformed a little autopsy on the Snivy and smiled. Leafi, Cresent, and Hattie just observed.

"Well everyone, this is Kokori! He's really strong and smart and he'll be a great addition to this family." You smiled. They all celebrated and got to know Kokori for a bit.

(Y/N), Your Cresselia said, It feels nice seeing the scenery of Unova after last night, but I was concentrating on something important. I need to go back into my Pokéball. Cresent's head tapped on her Pokéball and she went in. You picked up the Pokéball and placed it in your bag.

"Anyone else?" You questioned. Hattie and Leafi went back into their Pokéballs and that just left Millow and Pai.

"We have to wait for Cheren and Bianca but I'm sure we can do something in the-"

"Stop right there trainer!" A voice behind you yelled, "Give us your Pokémon!"

You looked at the direction where the voice was coming from and saw a Team Plasma grunt standing in the grass next to you. You groaned and glared at the grunt.

"Do we really have to do this today?" You sighed, "Look. I know you have a 'good reason' for this or whatever, but do you really think screaming 'Give me your Pokémon!' is going to work?"

The grunt smiled. "No." He glanced over your shoulder, "I was just a distraction." You heard Pai yell out your name and you immediately turned around to see two other grunts capturing your Pokémon. You ran to the grunt and tried to stop them only to feel a sharp pain in you back travel to your arms and the your legs. You fell limp to the floor as the grunt laughed in your face. Worries blasted through your head as your consciousness started to fade. But then you heard the grunt start backing up.

"Guys." He said, "it's N."

A slash broke the silence and you could hear one of the grunts fall to the ground and the others run away in worry. "You traitor!" They yelled. They also yelled something about a wild Pokémon chasing them.

You started to black out as you felt someone pick you up. You stirred around, but the person held you steady.

"Hey." The person whispered, "It's going to be okay."

You woke up in a little bed. The sun glimmered into the room you were in and shined in your eyes. You turned the other way and saw a boy about the same age as you with long green hair. Green hair. You opened your eyes all the way to see him humming to himself while reading a book.

He looked at you and put his book down. "Looks like you finally decided to wake up, huh?" He got up and made his way over to you. You picked up a pillow and put it as a shield between you and the stranger. You didn't know who he was and after that Team Plasma fiasco you didn't know who to trust. Team Plasma. The memory of the grunts taking away your Pokémon ran through your head.

You flung the pillow away from your face and yelled, "Where are Pai and Millow!"

The boy dodged the pillow with ease and sat on the far end of the bed. "No need to get all defensive. Pai and Millow are in the fields right now. They're playing." He looked at you, "on the other hand, you have some injuries. I've taken care of them for you though."

You looked up and down your body and saw the scars from the blast that hit your body when you were trying to get your Pokémon. They were all bandaged up and clean. You sighed of relief and turned to him. "Who are you?" You asked

"My name is N." He said. You were about to ask another question but he stopped you, "I know you're probably wondering how I knew you were in trouble. The truth is that I....I can hear Pokémon's thoughts." He braced for insults as you stared at him in shock.

"I thought I was the only one..." You said. N looked at you and shock and then he turned away as if he realized something. "You're being serious right?" You asked just to make sure.

N nodded as he walked over to the window. "Your Pokémon say incredible things about you, you know."

"I can hear them." You giggled

N laughed, "What's your name?"

"Oh! You can call me (Y/N)." You said. N looked at you with a surprised face and for a second it was like you could see memories flashing in his head.

"That's a very pretty name." N responded, sighing as he looked out the window once again. "I know you have plans for the day, but it can get a little lonely out here with no one to take care of my friends but me." He turned to me, "Do you think you'd be able to stay for the day?"

You looked at him and saw a bit of desperation in his eyes. He looked as if he had missed you. You didn't no what to make of it but you nodded your head and got up from your bed.

"So." You started, walking over so you were next to him, "What do we need to do first?"
