Luxx skipped through the perfect patches of snow that covered the grounds of the school, smiling as she scooped up some of it in her hand. She faced forward, watching her girlfriend pulling both hers and her own bags to the open door of their dorm unit. She hummed quietly as she followed.
"I think Marcia's family liked me. I mean, they didn't say they don't. So I think that's good." Anetra said as she walked beside Irene with her own bag slung over her shoulder. "Did Luxx's family ask you a million questions when you first met them?"
"They still do." Irene said, about to step into the building until a cold snowball hit her right in the back. She froze. "...They're not gonna have a daughter anymore in a couple seconds."
Luxx laughed until Irene turned around and locked eyes with her. All was still until the taller girl dropped the bags and went running after her girlfriend.
Luxx squealed and ran away from her, but the snow made it hard for her to get away. She yelped when she was grabbed by the waist and hoisted up like she was only a toy, trying to pull herself away even though she knew that was useless.
Irene tried to hide her smile as she held her up. "So you've chosen death, Lu?"
"You brought me back from death a few months ago, you can't just kill me now." Luxx started to giggle as she looked down at Irene. "You're just petty I've got good aim."
"Oh that's what I am, huh?" Irene raised a brow, glancing at the now messy mound of snow underneath them.
Luxx nodded quickly. "Uh huh. Petty lil' baby because her girlfriend hit her with a snowball when she wasn't looking-" She squealed again when she was suddenly dropped into the snow. "Irene!-"
"Sorry, lil' babies can't hold stuff very well." Irene smiled as she turned away to walk back to a laughing Anetra.
Luxx groaned, pouting for a moment before the snow got too cold to be sitting in. She pulled herself up and caught up to the two other girls. "That's it- no more kisses for you for a whole week."
"As if you can survive an hour without a kiss." Irene teased, still carrying Luxx's bag along with her own.
Luxx went quiet before slowly linking her arm with Irene's. "I don't wanna admit that you're right."
Irene smiled, about to say something else until Kerri flew by fast and almost hit her in the face. She huffed and turned around. "Kerri!"
Kerri just squawked in response, flying outside in search of a pile of snow to land on. From above, she could see all of the students who were returning to Misty Creek for their second semester. She dove down between two familiar faces, the tips of her wings brushing against them.
Sugar squeaked, turning away from the trunk of her mom's car and watching her fly off with wide eyes. But Spice hardly noticed. She picked up her bag and looked around the other students to find who she was looking for.
She beamed when she finally saw her, running past her mom who was trying to help them get their things out of the car. "Loosey!"
Loosey turned away from the friends she had been talking to just in time to catch Spice before she could trip and fall into the snow. She giggled quietly, keeping her up by wrapping her arms around her waist. "Careful, little angel."
Spice gazed up at her, hardly hearing what she said. "I missed you." She smiled sweetly, reaching her arms up to attempt to wrap them around her neck.
Loosey pulled her up a little to let her, looking down at her fondly as she smoothed out her hair. "I missed you too. Do you need help bringing in any bags?"
