Anetra walked hand in hand with Marcia down the snow covered path to the graveyard. Over break, they had accumulated different gifts for the spirits. They ranged from crystals to items like a small hourglass and a compass. Marcia had been happy to go look for things with Anetra. It made her feel closer to her.

"Do they get lonely over breaks?" She asked, snuggling close to her girlfriend's side to stop her shivering. "When you aren't here to go see them?"

"I think they've gotten used to it by now. And it's good that they have each other." Anetra said, keeping her close as they approached the graveyard. She was thankful most students were still too scared to venture out to it. She'd be pissed if someone were to ever come mess with the graves and the gifts she left.

But something was different today. Anetra stopped walking, overlooking the graves in front of them and tilting her head. There was no welcoming presence like there usually was when she got there. All she could feel was the cold night air.

She figured they might just be wandering around. "Raja?" She called out for them, stepping closer to the graves. "Jinkx?"

Marcia watched her in confusion. "What's wrong?" She asked as she followed her. "Are they not here?"

"I don't know..." Anetra said, looking around for any sign of them. "Katya? Victoria?"

There was still no presence of them around her. Anetra looked down at the old gravestones, starting to dust off the snow that had piled up on top of them. "Vander?"

There was no sign from her either. Anetra sighed, gently laying the gifts down anyways. "Maybe they forgot we got back from break today..."

"Or maybe they're cold and don't want to come out?" Marcia asked. "I don't exactly know how they work..."

Anetra finished dusting the snow off of the gravestones. "Maybe..." She said, looking out towards the trees in the distance. Something had flickered in her vision, and she could've sworn that it was coming from over there. But when she focused, it disappeared.

Marcia took her hand, leaning her head against her arm. "Maybe the chaos of everyone coming back today was a little too much for them. Do you want to come back tomorrow?"

Anetra looked around one more time before sighing. "Yeah, we can do that."

Marcia smiled a little and kissed her cheek. "Come on, let's go back inside. It's getting a little too cold."

Anetra nodded and let the smaller girl guide her back to the school. She tried not to worry too much. It was very possible that her friends had just forgotten she was coming back today. But the silence and lack of their energy still made her a little uneasy.

For the first time in a while, it was actually warm inside the dorm unit. The girls were so used to it being even colder inside compared to the outside. But that still wasn't going to stop Marcia from cuddling with her girlfriend.

Once the door to their room was closed, she practically pounced on her, making Anetra squeak and fall back onto the bed. With Jax busy with Sugar now and Aura running around with Amethyst, Marcia was more than happy to have the room to themselves.

"I had a feeling this is why you wanted to come back here-" Anetra said, still worried about her spirit friends but managing to smile. The smaller girl giggled and curled up on top of her.

"You told me a couple days ago that my love always cheers you up, so that's what I'm gonna give you." Marcia smiled and wrapped her arms around her neck.
