Melanys pov

We had been on the firetruck for a while I was laying on my between my dad and Chris, I was so cold and I felt weak.

"You good, Chris and Mel's?" My dad spoke.

"Yep, I took surfing lessons." Chris jokes and I cough.

"I'm scared Dada." I lay my head on his chest and bury my face deeper.

"It's alright Mel's, you got me and Chris." My dad reassured.

"Yeah we'll protect you." Christopher adds.

"I'm so sleepy.." I feel dizzy and I still feel weak.

"Baby, I know your tired but you gotta stay awake for me alright. Can you do that?" My dad lifts me up.

"I don't know.." I said.

"Melany, once we get out of here I promise will be with Auntie Mads, Uncle Chim, Bobby, Eddie, Hen, and Athena and you'll be safe. But I need you to stay awake." My dad hands me my bunny that's still wet but I hold it.

"Okay Daddy." I rested my head on him getting comfortable trying to stay awake.

I could tell Mel's was tired and u wish I could just take her home and tell her she's safe but right now I don't know.

"All right, I'm gonna take a look around and see what I see." I look around to see if there's any rescue boats but no "I guess we're gonna have to hang out here a little longer."

"We have a firetruck. Yeah, we do." My dad sighs.

"Help!" We hear a women yell

My dad stands up and sees a women in the distance,

"I'm gonna come for you!" My dad shouts "Chris, um, I- I need you to sit right here for me and protect Mel's. Can you do that?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, right here. Right here." My dad goes into the water to save her, I really need him right now but I know he wants to help people.

It was kinda scary knowing my dad might get hurt but I knew he was strong.

My dad brings the girl back to the truck.

"Dad, more people!" I point out and he turns.

"Will you watch them." My dad asked the lady.

"Okay." She nodded and scooted closer to us.

Maddie's pov

I was at the call center and since there was a tsunami we were pretty busy with a lot of calls coming in.

I noticed Sue disconnected a call for Linda and she walked over to me.

"I'm never thought I'd see you disconnect a call." I admit.

"Water-resistant phones. They can keep working for 30 minutes after being submerged. Ain't technology great?" Sue says sarcastically "How are you holding up?"

"I have both feet on dry land. I'll be okay." I smiled at Sue trying to stay optimistic.

"Good. This days not over." Sue sighed.

I'm just glad Buck isn't working and he is safe at home with Melany and they are probably cuddling together watching a movies or playing games.

I hope.
