The difference between good and evil is
easy when the line is drawn by your hand.
Don't mention civility is lethal
or be marked wicked by their burning brand.
They say it is a crime, the violence
—that to dare a life of freedom is sin.
They punch down with unrighteous piousness
not knowing where their arms end or begin.
Oppression doesn't rear its teeth gently,
caressing the throats of those who behave.
No matter who sits their contently,
the polite & profane both sent to their graves.
Our sense of morality, confining,
for we let despots do its defining.
We must write the language of our own will.
the tyrants and quiet "civilized," killed.
