Another Hades child??

5 - Dinnertime and Newbie's welcoming

{Camp Half-Blood, NY}

Third Person POV:

Lolo led Xia to the dinner pavilion and sighed.

"Alright, you should go over to Nico, he's at the Apollo table." She says, pointing towards said table.

Xia nodded and walked over to them, sitting next to Nico with a quiet 'hey'.

Everyone started talking again and a few minutes went by. Xia looked around the pavilion and back at Nico.

"Why are you sitting here instead of the Hades table?" Xia said. "There is a Hades table, right?"

Nico looks at her and nods. "I would, but if I sit over there strange things happen." He explains. "Like zombies crawling out of cracks on the floor, or dark splotches appear on the ground." He gestures to this table. "But if I sit at a different table, like the Apollo one, none of that happens. And I got a doctor's note."

The blonde haired boy next to him raised his hand. "I'm his doctor." He says with a smirk.

Nico's cheeks go slightly pink. Xia blinks. "You're a doctor?" Xia says. "But aren't you like, fifteen?"

The boy shrugs. "I'm the oldest in Cabin 7. After my brother Micheal died." He says. "I'm Will Solace, by the way."

Xia stares at him. "Micheal Yew." She says. "A son of Apollo, died on August 18th, the Battle of Manhattan, due to being crushed by a collapsing bridge. Status: Elysium." Nico and Will, the only ones who heard her, stared at her with confusion and shock.

"Xia, your eyes are glowing." Will says. Xia blinks and her eyes going back to normal.

"What?" She responds.

Nico and Will share a glance. "I think that.. a power you have," Nico starts. "Is being able to tell things about people who have died or have been in Hades." He points down a few tables to where Percy and Annabeth were. "You were able to tell that they were in the Underworld, and in Tartarus, just by looking at them. It's the most likely answer."

Xia looks down at the plate on the table. "So how does this food work?" She says.

"Oh, you just imagine what you want to eat or drink, and it kinda appears on the plate." Will explains. "Unlimited food is one of the best things about this place." He smiles.

A girl slams her hand onto the table by Xia. The Hades children turn to the newcomer and see it was Kernsey.

"Hello." Xia greeted.

"Hi, me and my friends were wondering if you wanted to hang out at the Demeter table." She says and points over to them.

Xia hums in thought. "Sure. Why not."

Kernsey smiles and pulls Xia out of the seat she was in and bounded down the walk area. She pushed Xia to sit down next to another girl that resembled Kernsey.

The girl also had long brown hair with glasses. She was wearing a brown sweater that had woven designs all across it with a thin grey jacket on top. Her glasses, which covered her brown eyes, were a light rose gold color and her face had a resting mischievous face. She was also wearing wavy thin white pants that flapped around due to the warm wind.

"This is Ruby, our manga lover." Lolo says from across the table. "She's a daughter of Hypnos, so if she falls asleep while you're talking, don't take it personally."

Kernsey sits on the other side of Xia and takes a bite of the sandwich on her plate. "Anywho, what do you think of the camp so far?" She says after she swallows. "Is it living up to all your expectations?"
