It's been a couple of months since everything with Mike went down, and things have been different since then. While I did manage to rebuild a tentative friendship with Angie again, it required me to get over my pride and tell her why my reaction was so violent that day. While she was understandably still upset, she understood my side of things much better once she knew why his accusation struck me the way it did.

With my now totally ruined social status, I took to spending far more time with Charlie and his friends doing my free time, often going hunting and fishing with them whenever they went out. Charlie was an unexpected surprise when we moved to Forks, and he's only continued to surprise me since then. I never knew my father growing up, but I'd imagine having a good dad feels the same way as Charlie is making me feel.

And based on what he's told me about his ex-wife and his own daughter, I reckon that we both needed one another. There's talk going on about his daughter Bella potentially moving back to Forks in the future, and I have mixed feelings about it. I'm worried if she moves here again, she'll just end up breaking Charlie's heart again the same way she did when she stopped visiting him here. He doesn't deserve that.

Talking about Charlie, I can hear him and aunt Klarke laughing together in the kitchen right now. Klarke invited him over for dinner with us, and have been doing that a lot recently while taking the chance to try and teach the poor man to cook. While he was extremely hopeless in the beginning, Klarke has managed to get him to a point where he can at least cook most meals on his own.

Walking into the kitchen I silently take a seat at the kitchen island, while smiling in amusement at the two goofing around together. "When's the dinner ready?" They both did a small jump in surprise as they turned towards me, Charlie quickly walking over to give me a hug with a big smile. "It's good to see you kid." Chuckling lowly, I give him a playful shove with my shoulder. "You saw me the other day, old man. No need to get so excited."

He ruffles my purple hair with one hand, as he laughs while he starts to go back to the kitchen. "I'm always happy to see you kiddo, so no point in fighting it." Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Klarke watching us with a small but heartfelt smile, and I can't stop myself from sending her one back. After the fight with Mike, things with us were a little strained. While she knew why I went ballistic, she couldn't wrap her head around exactly why it got so bad.

Out of everyone, I least expected Charlie to make her see and understand the situation. He apparently explained that he used to know a veteran that would respond to his PTSD by physically lashing out, if a particular attack got bad enough to warrant him blacking out the same way I did. While the vet was older and couldn't do much damage, I just happened to have the youth and training to actually hurt someone.

Once Klarke saw it from that perspective, she felt apologetic for doubting me in any way, but she did force me to see a therapist long distance with my laptop. To be honest, I didn't mind all that much, because I didn't ever want to hurt someone that badly ever again. "Food should be ready soon Alex, why don't you start to set the table?" Giving Klarke a small smile and a nod, I got up to do just that. After having eaten with Klarke and Charlie, I decided to take a walk around the property to empty my head.

Walking between the trees, I could feel the moisture in the air clinging to the skin on my face. The forest was surprisingly silent, which was definitely out of the ordinary since normally I'd be able to hear birds singing and fluttering about. Without thinking about it too deeply, I sucked in a deep breath before continuing into the clearing coming up in front of me. As I walked through the trees and into the clearing, I let out my breath in a harsh exhale that had me almost double over from the strain on my lungs. Right in front of me, was the beautiful proclaimed ice queen of Forks High, crouched over a dead mountain lion while sucking viciously on its bloody neck.

Sabrina and I were running through the forest together, laughing and having a blast while just enjoying the thrill of the hunt. It was one of the few things I'd come to enjoy in my undeath, the speed and the feeling of the wind on my face as we weave in and out between trees, while tracking down our favourite prey. "I smell a mountain lion, so I'll see you in a moment, Sab." Giving my sister a quick smile, I darted out into the clearing where I sensed the mountain lion. Grabbing it by the neck, I twist hard and fast to break its neck, to kill it in the most humane way I could.

Biting into its neck, I'm immediately overwhelmed by the scent and flavour of its blood, and I can't help the slight puur I release at the taste. Hearing a hard exhale of air, I look up to see what it was, and my greatest fantasy, and worst nightmare comes true. Standing there in the treeline is my mate Alexis Ravenwood, and she's currently seeing me fang-deep in the neck of a mountain lion.

Looking into her eyes, it feels like time is standing entirely still. We're only ripped out of our starring match, by the sound of my sister talking to me. "Hey Rose, I smell a hum…- Looking up, she sees the same thing as I'm seeing myself. "Oh…" Yeah, Sab. Oh.

Here you go peeps. Another relatively short one, but things are finally happening so expect longer chapters going forward. Bella is finally on the horizon, and Alexis has come face to face with the truth of the Cullen family. She wasn't looking for that truth, but now she has to deal with the consequences of knowing it anyway. How will her and Rose deal with the secrets that are going to come to light?
