You hesitantly walked into the school, almost waiting to get pummeled to death by Sidney. You may have torn apart her friend group right after the death of her mother, you figured you had a right to be nervous. No one was ever as calm or sweet as her without having some sort of a secret dark side.
"YOU BITCH," you heard a voice screech. "YOU FUCKING CUNT!! YOU GOD DAMN ASSHOLE!!"
You whipped around, surprised that it wasn't Sidney who was about to fuck you up. Instead, it was the other easily determined contender, Casey Becker. And boy did she look mad. Her face was bright red, with hot pink ears, and a scowl on her face. If this were a cartoon, smoke would be pouring out of her ears.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING RETARD?!?!"
She suddenly charged at you, screaming curses and swears at you. You ducked out of the way and she almost hit the lockers, but caught herself and re-directed. She charged at you once again, grabbed your shoulders, and pushed you against a wall.
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL HIM!!"
"I'm sorry, okay?! You can't just tell someone something that horrible and expect them to not tell the person you're hurting," you shouted.
"That I'm hurting?! THAT I'M HURTING!! YOU HURT ME YOU BITCH!!"
"Look, the truth always comes out whether you like it or not!"
Casey looked like she was about to rip your throat out. She raised her right arm up, most likely to hit you. You were suddenly panicked, not ready to have your ass whooped. But before she could actually do anything, someone grabbed her and ripped her off of you.
"What the fuck are you doing," Billy shouted. "Attacking the new kid?! What the fuck?!"
"Let go of me! Let go," she demanded.
"Give me one good reason to!"
Casey stopped talking, but still struggled against him. You were stuck standing there, confused. Why did Billy save you? You know what, it doesn't matter. You were thankful none the less. Unless he was just holding her back so he could tear you to shreds himself.
"Don't make me fucking repeat myself, bitch! What are you doing?!"
"THEY FUCKED ME OVER!!"
"How?!"
"ASK THEM!!"
Billy looked up at you expectantly, and your face paled. You stood by what you said at the Blockbuster, now putting you in a very precarious position. You could tell Billy, and act like a complete hypocrite, or, Billy could sick Casey on you like a dangerous dog.
Like a literal bitch.
"Well? You want to tell me," Billy asked.
"I don't think I should say," you told him nervously.
"OWN UP TO WHAT YOU DID, YOU FUCKING LITTLE-"
"It's for you to own up to asshole!"
"YOU HAD NO PROBLEM BLABBING AND RUNNING YOUR MOUTH TO THE ONE PERSON WHO MATTERED!!"
By now, the bell had rung, and students had begun to disappear. But there were a few stragglers standing around, watching intently. You could only help but hope that someone had gone to get a teacher.
"Who fucking mattered?! Tell me what's going on," Billy demanded angrily. "(y/n), I swear to fucking god-"
"THEY FUCKING TOLD STU," Casey screamed. "THEY FUCKING TOLD HIM!!"
"Told him what," Billy questioned. "(y/n), what did you tell him?! What did Casey fucking do?!"
Suddenly, you began to feel overwhelmed. You felt panicked, and it felt like your chest was tightening up. You could feel tears pricking at the waterline of your eyes, threatening to fall. Your knees buckled, and you felt like you were about to fall over. You wanted the floor to open up and swallow you whole. You wanted to wake up suddenly, and realize this had all been a nightmare. Maybe if you were lucky, you'd wake up back at home home. Not Woodsboro.
"(y/n)? (y/n)?!"
Billy sounded panicked, but didn't move or let go of Casey. You opened your mouth to speak, but it felt like the words were dying in your throat. You finally crumpled to the floor, unable to hold yourself up.
"She told me she slept with Steve, so I told Stu," you said.
It was quiet, but your voice was there. It sounded like water was rushing past your ears, and you just wanted to lay down. Though you couldn't see it, Casey's face drained of color, and Billy glared at her.
"Steve who," he interrogated.
Casey scowled at him, but Billy's glare managed to get more intense. Scared by her ex-friend's facial expression (and the fact that he was still holding on to her, and could easily overpower her), Casey decided to talk.
"Steve Orth," she quickly answered.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE," Mrs. Brutechelli hollered.
Billy quickly let go of Casey, and she scampered off and down the hall, passing by the enraged woman.
"MR. LOOMIS, GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE!! NOW!!"
Billy's head dipped as he began to walk off, and your meek little voice managed to pipe up once more.
"Wait," you called. "He was helping me..."
"Oh my, are you alright," Mrs. Brutechelli asked, suddenly using the most clam tone you had ever heard from her again.
"Casey was going to hurt me," you tried to explain. "He was helping me."
"Mr. Loomis," the teacher began. "We will be discussing this further with Mr. Himbry."
Billy continued to shuffle towards the office, and Mrs. Brutechelli waddled her way over to you.
"Are you okay dear? Are you sick?"
"I don't think so..."
"Why don't you go to the nurses office."
She helped you to your feet, and began to lead you to the nurse's office. She began talking to you about some illnesses going around when it starts to get colder. You still couldn't really hear what she was saying, still stuck with the ringing and the sound of rushing in your ears. You could technically hear her, just like you had heard Billy. But, unlike your most likely ex-friend, you stopped paying attention. You had been here less than two weeks, and you had already been wrapped up in a murder trial and friend group trial.
God, you weren't sure how much longer you could handle this shit. You wanted to just go home. You didn't want to be here. You wanted to be anywhere but here.
But dad needed this. He needed to get away from his own painful memories. And you couldn't do that to him. So, you were just going to have to suck it up. But you could handle this, right? Right. Be a Laurie Strode, not the god damn first kill.
A/n: somehow I am a horror nerd born in the early 2000's, but only just saw 'Thir13en Ghosts' from 2001. And you know what?
I shouldn't have watched it at all. I wasted $15. I couldn't understand a damn thing, Arthur's family's annoying as fuck, and my brother bailed halfway through. Not even F. Murry Abraham or Matthew Lillard can salvage it for me.
Also, does anyone know the name of the lady that was 'freeing souls' but wound up working with the bad guy (I'd worry about spoilers, but the movie's older than me, so...)? My brother swears that she's played Sigourney Weaver, but I disagree, and I can't prove him wrong without the characters name. And I am not watching that movie again just to learn her name. I'm not doing that to myself.
