Moxxie and father sat on the long ends of the table opposite of each other. Millie Blitzø across from each other, and me and Chaz across from each other sitting right by father.

We were all seated in silence at the dinner table. The only sounds were Millie's scowling and silverware clicking on the plates.

Blitzø sat up clearing his throat. "So, this is aggressively uncomfortable." He broke the silence and rolled his eyes.

Father looks up at him through his brows, "I suppose you wanna know why you're here."

"I mean yeah, what gives?" He scratched behind his head. "You know, we don't really do contracts for locals so.. if you want to do business with us you gotta-"

"I don't want to do business with I.M.P." He interrupted. "I want to do business with Moxxie." He clarified.

"Wh- Me!?" Moxxie choked out in surprise.

"Yeah kid." Father growled. "I only summoned I.M.P to to make sure the both of you would show." He took his steak knife from his food to point to the both of us.

Me and Moxxie exchanged looks.

"But dad.." my voice hesitantly interjected. "why?" I simply questioned in confusion.

He villainously simpered to me, "so glad you asked, sweetness." He averted his gaze from mine to the shark demon beside him. "Because, well, we're bringin' Chaz into the family."

At this news I gasped so hard I nearly choked on my food. After I got over my short coughing fit I slammed my hands on the table, digging my nails in the cloth. "He's fucking what!?"

"What's the big surprise?" Father shook his head and leaned back in his seat.

"Since when can just anyone join the family!?" I threw my arms in the air violently, still in surprise.

"Come on sweetness." He looked from me to Mox. "Moxxie hand responsibilities that I needed to pick up when he left. Now Chaz is gonna lighten the load."

"Wait! I thought you always hated his guts." Mox pointed out.

"Eh, I don't know if I exactly hated him.." Father scoffed back.

"You called him a 'friendless horse fucker' and said we lived a 'sissy lifestyle'." He brought back fathers words to prove a point.

"Yeah well I was wrong." He shrugged off. "You've both been gone a long time. A man can change."

I rolled my eyes at him and sat back into my seat. "Yeah right. Since when have you ever changed?" I muttered under my breath.

Do my dismay, he heard me.

He tapped his finger on the table in front of my plate to warn me. "I have changed. Trust me." He repeated, but looked to only me this time. "And so has Chaz."He went back to announcing to the full table.

"Yeahhh, I've grown, matured." Chaz agreed. "And recently came into millions!.. but mostly the mature thing." He finished his inappropriate statement.
