Chapter Nine

Olivia's POV

Today was the day that I was meeting Tom after school to talk to him about how I feel. Although, he thought we were just going for coffee. The girls and I, excluding Ashleigh as she was getting a lift from James, walked into school and saw the boys. Obviously we had to go over to them, because Jenna and Reece always did so before the bell, same with Billi and Charlie, Nicola and Barclay, Marjana and Casey & Jake and Noreen. Poor Chris was the only single one. I usually went over to speak to Tom but it was just too awkward. "Are we still meeting after school to go for a coffee?" Tom asked. "If you're still up for it." I replied with a tremble in my voice, signalling that I was a little nervous.

School had gone reallllly slow today, but it was that time that I had to meet Tom outside the main entrance. I saw Tom but just waited for him, he walked up & took grasp of my hand. Oh well, I wonder what's going on. I hope none of the other girls see. We walked to the coffee house where we spoke for a while.

Noreen's POV

I was held back in class for being late, when I was walking out to meet Jake as I was going to his house after school, I saw Tom and Olivia hold hands. I was confused. I thought they weren't a couple? Oh well I just thought to myself, better to ask later on than assume things. I met Jake and we went back to his.

Olivia's POV

"Tom?" I asked him. "Yeah?" he replied. "Can I tell you something?" "Of course you can." "Well, I was speaking to the girls about this last night when we were all at Ashleigh's. They told me it was best that I discussed it with you. I never realised this until yesterday morning after we stayed at yours and we slept together. I like you, Tom." it was silent for a couple of minutes, a really awkward silence.

"I had a feeling you were going to say something like that." he sighed. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." I replied. "Don't be silly, I'm glad you did. I was going to tell you the exact same thing but I didn't know how to tell you." I was relieved, and let out a sigh of relief. "Although Olivia, I don't want us to move so fast like getting into a relationship straight away. We have been best friends for many years and I really don't want to ruin that. So, how about we go on a couple of dates.. Double dates, dates just the two of us and see how I goes?" I really didn't know what to say. I finally replied: "Okay, I said. Sounds good. I better be going, I have an English paper to write for tomorrow. See you tomorrow."
