Lexi looked at Dean, her eyes widening in shock. "Wait, you're okay with everyone dying in heaven? Are you serious, right now?"

Dean looked away; his jaw clenched. "What's the point? I've been in heaven for months, and it's not what I thought it would be. I'm tired of pretending everything's okay. I'd rather just disappear than stay here any longer."

Lexi was taken aback. "But Dean, you don't understand. The ramifications of this would be catastrophic. If the demons succeed in destroying heaven, it won't just affect the angels and the souls there. It will have a ripple effect that will reach all the way to earth. The balance between good and evil will be upset, and chaos will reign."

Dean scoffed. "Like it's not already chaotic enough on earth?"

Lexi shook her head. "You don't get it. This is bigger than just heaven and hell. The fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance. We have to do something to stop the demons from getting their hands on the spell to use with the relic." Lexi stared at Dean, her eyes pleading. "Dean, think about it. If the demons succeed in their plan, it won't just affect heaven and earth. It could also put your brother's life in danger."

Dean's eyes widened at the mention of Sammy. "What do you mean? How could this affect Sammy?"

Lexi took a deep breath. "If the demons succeed, the balance of power will shift. And with that shift, the demons can become even more powerful." She swallowed hard. "Do you really think that your brother will survive all of that? You're not only infamous here but in hell as well. You've been to hell already, you know that."

Dean felt a lump form in his throat. He had lost his mother to a demon, and he would do anything to protect Sammy from suffering the same fate.

"You really know how to kill the mood." He stood up and put the bottle down.

"So, then you will help me?"

"I don't really have a choice now do I?" He walked across the room and ran his hand through his hair. "So, how do we do this?"

Lexi felt excitement rush through her. He was actually going to help her. "I started doing some research when I first heard the rumor." She walked over to the bookshelf and pulled down a huge book.

"Light reading, huh?"

She flushed with embarrassment. "Something like that. I compiled everything I could about the relic."

"This is how you have been spending your afterlife?" He rolled his eyes. What was it about this chick?

"I like research." She smiled nervously as she began to open the book. "The last place the relic was seen was back in the fifties. The men of letters had found it and stored it for safe keeping."

"The men of letters? Hang on." He walked over to her and looked at the book. "Do you even know who they are?"

"I sort of made them a hobby of mine." She felt like such a dork as she looked at him. "I know you were staying in their place."

"How much do you know about me?" He cocked his head.

"You're infamous here Dean. Everyone knows who you are."

He smirked. "Like a celebrity?"

She continued to flush. "Let me show you this." She flipped to a page in the book and stopped at a drawing of the relic.

"Did you draw this?" He was impressed. She had actually made a graphic novel by the looks of this book.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I was just doodling."
