My one-off AU's and other random stuff.

Little Ash #2

This is when Ash meets Krux for the first time.

This event happens in every AU except in ones where I keep Krux as the bad guy, which is not often.

September 14, 2002 (Ash is six years old)

Ash and Wu were at an outdoor market getting some food when the little girl decided to run off. Wu panicked and went looking for his daughter. Ash was running until she bumped into a man. He gave her a wicked smile and Ash booked it with the guy chasing after her.

A disguised Krux was looking at the fruit when he felt someone grab his leg. He looked down and saw a little girl. Krux noticed that she was scared and knelt down to her level. "Hey there little one. Are you lost?" Just then, a man approached them.

"Thank you for finding my daughter." He said. Krux stood up again at this point and noticed that something was off about the man as the girl tightened her grip on his leg.

"You're not her father." He told him.

"Yes I am. Now let's go." He tried to grab her when Krux pushed him away.

"Go away and leave her alone."

"Make me." A fight broke out between the two men until Krux was able to knock the other man out. Police took the pedophile away once Krux explained that the guy tried to kidnap the kid he was protecting. He knelt down again.

"What's your name little one?"

"Ash." She replied. Just then, the older twin heard a familiar voice and froze when he saw Wu rush towards them. Ash let go of Krux.

"DADDY!" Ash hugged Wu's legs. He picked her up.

"Oh Ash, don't you ever run off again, you here me?" Wu then looked at Krux. "Thank you. I don't know what I would do if something happened to Ash. She's the light in my life and I promised her mom I would take care and love Ash as if she were my own." Wu was crying.

"You're welcome." Krux replied, relieved that Wu didn't recognize him. Before they parted ways, Ash gave Krux a hug, thanking him. He ruffled her hair. "You take care little one."

"You have a funny voice." Ash laughed. She and Wu finished their shopping and went home. Krux did the same and said to himself that no harm will befall on Ash.

Later that night as Wu was putting Ash to bed, he thought he recognized a familiar foe. "Maybe it's just my imagination. Goodnight Ash." Wu went to bed himself.

May 30, 2010 (Ash is 14 years old; happens before she met the ninja)

Ash and Wu were at the outdoor market. Ash went to grab some strawberries when she bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry." She said. The man turned around and Ash instantly knew him. "Oh hey, it's you. Thank you for saving me from that pedophile. Everytime dad and I come here, I try to look for you, but you vanished. And now you're here."

"I'm glad you're doing well Ash." Krux replied.

"You still have that funny voice." The two laughed. "I never got your name."

"The name is Dr. Sander Saunders. I'm the curator at the Ninjago Museum of Natural History."

"I've always wanted to visit that place and volunteer to give tours. I love history from all over the world. It's mt favorite subject."

"Well, you can always ask your dad if you could visit." Ash smiled. "So what are you doing here?"

"I just turned fourteen today and I wanted to get some strawberries for the cake dad and I are going to bake. But it looks like you got the last pack." Krux handed her the container. "Thank you. And may I call you Sandy?"

"You're welcome and happy birthday. And of course, you can call me that. I don't mind." Ash smiled and ran off. She told Wu about the volunteering and he agreed. All was peaceful for Ash until she met some very interesting people who changed her life for the better.
