Creek - a new beginning

Smooth talker

Craig and David walk home together. When they arrive Craig immediately starts working on the project.

"Is that all you do? Just work and sleep?"

"I'm just trying to finish this project. The sooner we all finish, the sooner we can present, the sooner it's all over."

"So you're not too stoked about this project huh... I don't blame you. I don't like working with that twitchy kid very much either."

"Watch it."

"Chill, I didn't mean any harm. You guys friends?"

"No."

"Huh. Okay... I'm going to go. Have fun with your speech, space boy."

Craig rolls his eyes

Tweek is sitting in his bed when he gets a text. It's a group chat.

Craig: It's Craig, I added you both, Tweek and David. If you have concerns about the project just ask here.

David: copy that space boy!

Craig: 🖕

Tweek laughs. "Space boy? That's funny. Craig must still like that kinda stuff." 

Tweek adds David to his contact lists and shuts off his phone.

"David seems cool, he's definitely gonna make it easier to work with Craig."

The next day in class

David slams a piece of paper on the table, causing Tweek to jump.

"Boom, done with my paper. It's okay, you guys can clap!"

Silence

"Oookayyy..."

Tweek and Craig both pull out their papers and put them on the table. The trio starts reading their papers to each other before starting to plan speech layouts.

"Tweek goes first, then you David, and I'll wrap it up, we don't need any transitions. Just remember when to come in."

"Sh-shouldn't we practice a little??"

"No, we are almost out of class time. We can figure it out tomorrow."

"Tomorrow is Saturday"

"Oh."

David finally chimes in "Then let's plan a meet-up tomorrow! I wanted to go around town soon anyway! Where do people go to work on projects like this?"

"W-we went to an ice cream shop last time we worked on it, and after that, we-" Tweek stops talking when Craig kicks his leg under the table.

"There's a ton of places you can go. I don't want to be a part of it. Let's just wait til Monday."

Tweeks face is red, he can't believe he almost said something he shouldn't have in front of Craig's cousin.

"You can wait til Monday then, me and Tweek we still going." David insists

"W-we are?"

"You don't want to?"

"N-no! I'll go!"

Craig scowls

David smiles at Tweek "I guess I'll see you tomorrow then!"

Tweek smiles back "Okay."

The bell rings and Craig is the first to leave the classroom.
