I was kinda nervous when we walked towards Cameron's house. I mean, yeah, I knew everybody in there, and I had a great time with Sarah, but what if everything went wrong now?

But then we arrived at the door, and my dad rang the bell, so there was no time for running back now. A short time after, Rose opened the door and invited us in. "Come on, let's have a little something to drink before we go to the table and eat," Rose said, and we walked towards the living room.

While my dad and Ward drank whiskey, my mum and Rose drank a glass of white wine, and I just got a glass of orange juice. How annoying it is to not be 21 yet, I thought, not that I hadn't had any alcohol yet, just not under official circumstances.

A short time after, wheezie entered the room and greeted us. She sat next to me and also poured herself a glass of orange juice. Sarah also came in, and she looked stunning wearing a light yellow flowery dress. "You look so pretty," I said to her.

"So do you," a voice replied that definitely wasn't Sarah's. I looked in the direction where the voice was coming from, and I saw a tall, handsome guy standing there. He was smiling at me, and I just looked at him in confusion. "Wow Rafe," Sarah added. "Some people have really cool brothers, and then there's me, I have a Rafe" she said as she also sat next to me.

"Not nice, Sarah," Rafe complained ironicly and also poured himself a glass of whiskey. "Rafe, we talked about you drinking the whiskey," Rose said.

Rafe just rolled his eyes as he put the whiskey bottle down. But not the liquor he had already poured in his glass, with one big sip, all of it disapeared in his mouth.

"OK, now that we are all here? Why don't we go and sit?" Ward said, and we all stood up. We all sat down at the table, wheezie and Sarah were next to me, and Rafe was on the other side of the table, straight ahead.

During the whole meal, I really tried not to look at Rafe, but I couldn't resist. When I looked up, he had his cheeky smile on his face, and that only made me want to look at him more. He really was handsome, I thought to myself, but he was Sarah's brother, and I just made friends, so I kind of saw a line there. And, in addition to that, he seemed to be a few years older, I just didn't think that I would stand a chance with him. But I could still look at him, right?

We finished eating and sat at the table talking. I had a really good conversation with Sarah, while Wheezie had left the room a few minutes ago, but she came back in, holding a Polaroid camera. Rose asked her where she got it from, and she admitted to taking it from my jackets pocket.

Wheezie asked if she could take a picture with it i nodded and shortly after she chose Rafe as the model for her picture. Right after Whezie took the picture, Ward reminded her: "put the camera back, it isn't yours."

After we finished eating we were all just sitting at the table talking. I kind of really felt the need to use the bathroom, but some part of me just wanted to take a wuick break from all the new people. Playing the perfect daughter isnt easy and trying to make a good apperance to Rafe was even harder. So i said that, I had to use the bathroom and I excuse myself. After Sarah told me where this I stood up and went there.

After i had washed my hand i dyied them at the towel. Even the soft fabric of the towel was a reminder of how wealthy people are around here. My dad had worked hard to now allow us a life here but the Camerons semed to be a few levels above us. Im not sure if raking people in levels is a thing to do, but all about this island screamed that everyone does it. With this thoughts in my head, I opened the door but Instead of leaving the room, I bumbed against A body. "Wach your step", Rafe chuckled deeply.

Since he was standing right in front of the door I laughed and said: "I think its you that should watch their're step."

" Oh oh I'm sorry little lady", Rafe said.

I didn't really know what to reply so I just stood there right in front of him and looked into his blue eyes.

He took one step closer which I didn't know was possible because we was already standing really close.

So now only inches away from my face he whispered: " but would you now move out of the way so I can go to the bathroom." I guess that I was slightly turning red while I Stepped Aside. I turned away and went back to the others.

Rafe left shortly after to hang out with his friend Barry, and although I was disappointed, I was also relieved after our awkward encounter. I tend to overthink situations, and I felt stupid about the situation we just had. What if he thinks that I am awkward now?

Not long after Rafe left, my mom suggested that it was also time for us to leave, so we said our goodbyes. Sarah said we would see each other soon, which made me smile. I really didn't want to disappoint her.

When I was taking off my jacket at home, I realized that the Polaroid camera was still in my pocket. I took it out and saw that Lizie had not removed the picture from the camera. There it was, a picture of the handsome boy next door. I looked at it for a while, and he looked stunning in his red and white flannel. I decided to keep the picture in one of my memory boxes, like I do with every Polaroid I take. It wasn't me who took the picture, but the person in it was too pretty not to keep it.
