The weekend had passed by and I had not heard one thing from Marina since Saturday... unusual.
My annoying Hello Kitty alarm clock woke me up at 7 AM. I put my head under my pillow trying to muffle out the deafening sound which I then found out is impossible. I got up, opened my dresser and slowly got changed into my clean uniform. I brushed out my wavy hair and pulled it in to a pony tail. I made my self check to see if everything was in my bookbag. Then I rushed down stairs to eat breakfast.
After eating a waffle with three strawberries, by mom handed me my lunchbox and I walked away to brush my teeth. Oww! I stepped on a Barbie doll shoe! As I pick it up, I looked around to see if my mom noticed me stepping in it. embarrassing!
On the 13 minute ride to school, I was playing a word search I had gotten last year as a gift from Christmas. When my mom dropped me off, I was expecting to see Marina waiting for me, but there was no sign of her...
I walked into my class greeted by all of the class asking me where Marina was. There were comments like,"You're her best friend, you should know.";"She never misses class!"(that one was totally right)"Is she sick?"
How was I supposed to know the answers? It was only when I got home and Marina's mom was at my house making missing signs with my mom that I knew something was up...
