Isla and Leo meet after a strange interaction in a coffee shop.
they start off hating each other since the very beginning, but then realice they've been drowning within their own feelings.
later on Isla finds out Leo is her brothers best friend...

CHAPTER 2
I start taking notes on Mr. Brown's presentation, highlighting my title in a hot pink shade. " y'all have an 8 page essay to write for this friday, it will be based on any poem you can choose, make sure no one else has chosen the same poem as you, to make it more original and get a higher grade" Mr Brown says as he sips his coffee.
By the end of the lesson I shove my books and computer into my bag, as I turn around to see Layas head resting on her textbook, signalling she has been asleep this entire time. I pull her hair making her yelp, and quickly giving me the dead stare.
I grab my bag from the floor and start walking out as she follows behind me, we make our way into the coffee shop i work at.
" Hey Diego! How's work been without me?" I jokingly ask as we walk up to the register. " it's been terrible without you" he cries as he brings up his palm onto his chest, pretending i've ripped his heart out.
Laya waves a shy hello, as she turns to look at me, I've always known she's had the biggest crush since the second she laid her eyes on him. We proceed to order our usuals, which he knows by heart, and he quickly gets to work, as we pay, and give him a very generous tip.
Diego hands us our drink, and we head over to a clean table and take a seat. " Hey, what did Mr Brown talk about in class? I was fast asleep having an amazing dream until you pulled my hair."
" we have this 8 page essay due this friday about some poem you have to pick" i answer taking a sip of my caramel iced latte. I reach down to pull my laptop out of my bag and quickly start browsing to find a unique poem, quickly after that I start typing my essay, and Laya just can't seem to keep her eyes off Diego.
" Just go talk to him, you catch every boy's eye the second you walk into a room" I tease , flashing a sweet smile.
" if you say so" she quickly stands up and runs over to the counter I quickly glance over to look at them, as they exchange smiles, and give off flirty looks.
About 30 minutes into my essay, and having almost 4 pages concluded, laya rushes over and takes a seat.
" What are you smiling about?" I joked as I poke her elbow, " we made plans for the weekend, which you are coming too!" she cries out as her smile grows bigger.
" are we really?"
"Yes we are, and he's having friends over, we can also get the girls, and make this much more interesting!"
" Laya, you know diego is friends with Mattia, my brother, he's gonna freak out the second he notices were hanging out with his friends"
" literally shut up, he won't care, plus do this for me! Please?"
"Fine"
" okay, we should probably get going, our next class starts in about 30 minutes, and we won't wanna get there late"
