"If this is about last night, I don't wanna talk about it," Charlotte hunched up, her black split dress and makeup still on. Her mascara had been smudged from crying, her phone still in her hand as she sat on the bed. "I cheated. Mason found out. He would never forgive me."
"Well..." Last night she'd gotten drunk and made out with Gio as the player never knew her relationship status. "I am mad at you, but at the same time you're my best friend. Mason's coming over today. I'm sure he'll find time to talk to you."
"Does he know?" She glanced at me, as I got some makeup pads and I wiped the smudged makeup off of her face. I shook my head gently as she sighed, shaking off her black dress as I ruffled her hair. A bit of green dust fell down, as I backed away and frowned. "Oh, I tried to dye my hair, but instead used green fluff."
"Uh, sure," I crossed my arms. "You clean that up."
"Maybe I will," She sighed as she pulled on shorts and a warm jumper. "You going out?" I pressed my face against the window, as the snow fell down swiftly.
I nodded, as I pulled on a pair of warm jeans and a turtleneck fluffed up shirt. It was scratchy, but good enough to last in the winter. I stretched on a pair of mountain boots and a beanie, as I grabbed the room card and my phone and credit card.
"I'll be back in a few hours," I hurried off down onto the snowy streets. It hardly ever snowed, according to Jude. A few kids ran around in snow gear, throwing snowballs at each other as they shouted in German. "Wow." I stuck my tongue out tasted the cold feeling. It felt like being a little kid again, as I put my gloves on.
"- pissed off about somethin'," A man's voice spoke next to me as I gasped. He looked much older and tired out, as James, my ex, grinned next to the man next to him. I recognised it was Bill, his best friend. "Bellingham's got to back off." I dashed behind a corner, as I watched him go past. "We broke up cause' of nothing. It was stupid. I had to come here to get her heart back."
"It's not easy to win someone back once you've broke their heart," Bill kicked at the rocks as I snuck behind them, trying to keep quiet of my boots clanging onto the rocky grounds. "She hates you. Trust me, in no time, she'll be with Jude."
"I told you to help me here, not to predict the unpredictable!" James exploded as I almost screamed, as a hand was clasped over my mouth. "I hate this. We have to pretend to be Dortmund fans in order to meet her again. I need her."
"Shush," Jude pulled me back as I flushed against the warmth, and put a hand across my shoulder. "What do you think you're doing, following these men? They seem dangerous and abusive."
"You scared the hell out of me, Bellingham," I rolled my eyes as he ruffled my hair softly. "I was just following my ex, listening to him and his best friend's converstaion. Unfortunately, James wants me back and decides to come to Dortmund after seeing me on news. They hate you."
"Whatever," He pulled down his Dortmund beanie even more. "Wait - be quiet." I pushed myself behind him as he pretended to be scrolling through his phone, as Bill and James walked slowly back.
"Hey - you're Jude Bellingham, right?" James asked as Jude pulled up his neck warmer, covering his face. "No, I'm not some crazy fan or whatever. Just wanna ask you a question. You know Sadie Mount? Mason Mount's sister?"
"Yeah, we're pretty close since our last match," I flinched as he asked for me. I cowered behind Jude, trying hard not to make any sound. "You're James, right? She told me all about you. How violent and abusive you are."
"Well, I made a mistake, I wanted to come back and apologise for everything, so hopefully she'll accept it and love me again," James grinned. "Tell me her hotel address, and I'll give you a few hundred euros. Come on."
"Well, nothing will get you her hotel address," Jude shook his head. "Even if I actually knew it, I wouldn't give to you. She's my... my-my girlfriend, so fucking back off." I silenced my gasp as I slid down to my bottom, and blinked for a few times.
"You'll be dead next time I see you!" James exclaimed as he shook his fists at him. "Bill, let's go. He's nothing but shit."
They walked away, as Jude turned around and pressed the wall behind me, which was an old alcohol shop. "I'm sorry. I had to use you to get away."
"I-it's fine," A tear rolled down my eye as I looked down, embarrassed. "I-I'm just shocked he'd follow me for everything. I just want to call the police but every time trauma comes back to me and reminds me of that time, he threatened if I called the police I'd be stabbed with a knife in the throat."
"You'll be fine," Jude gripped my arm tightly as I sighed into his shoulder. "Just call me everyday to make sure you're safe, alright?"
"Don't you have training?" I asked as I nodded.
"No, cancelled it because of the weather," We stepped outside again, as I got hit by the head with a snowball. "Come get me if you want to." I grabbed some snow from the ground as I shaped it into a circle, and hit Jude. "Ow!"
"That's what you get!" I laughed I dodged one, flying straight onto a billboard. "Missed, you dumbass!"
"Tell me to shut up when you can throw one!" Jude threw harder this time, knocking me off my feet. "Y'kay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," I got up again as I threw one straight at his face.
"Shut up!" He chuckled as one hit me in the leg. "You look nice with snow in your hair."
"Can't say the same for you," I did a backflip as he tried to hit me, but I dodged. "You're great at this."
"Say same for you," Jude clasped his hand around my shoulders, as we began to walk back to the hotel. "How's England doing?"
"Well, weather and things? Horrid," I huffed into my gloved hands, as Jude chuckled. "I say, Germany is much better, but for the safety? England."
"Yeah," Jude agreed. "So, Chelsea or Dortmund for the day after tomorrow?"
"You know I've got to choose Chelsea," We walked down a dirt path. "Mason'll be mad."
"I know."
