2003 was officially my debut. For a month I was planning something that would turn my life 180 degrees.
Everything was about to change that day. I had everything planned down to the second. I was ready for action.
I put on my gloves, loaded the gun, put it in my hoodie pocket, then went to make sure all the victims were in the right place. Of course, I wasn't wrong. I was able to get to work without delay.
I turned on some secondary devices to drown out the gunshots. As the four of them sat together in a family embrace, I stepped to a safe distance and started shooting.
With each successive shot, the victims bled out more and more, and before I knew it, all four of them were on the floor in a huge pool of dark red liquid.
You're probably wondering why I did it. I'm translating everything.
I grew up in an open-minded family. Well... maybe open to everyone but me. I was their firstborn, and for 13 years they didn't even say to me "Hi! How was your day?", because they didn't say a word to me. It annoyed me that my brothers - Kurisu and Burusu - were the apples of their eyes, and no one spent a second with me.
Family is the first people on our way. And since mine didn't fully discharge their family responsibilities, they weren't to be given any respect.
I threw the gun out the window, the gloves ended up in the trash. I've piled the bodies together so they don't get in the way of the police when they arrive. If they ever come, because these people don't even deserve a murder investigation.
I went to my room to get the suitcases that I had packed yesterday. From one of the drawers I took out all my identity papers. The only thing left was Kikori - my rabbit. He clearly supported my choice, because when I put my hand in the cage, he put his paw on my hand and looked at me. My sweet little one and only companion.
I took him with me too, because who else but him will keep me from committing suicide when I fly out of Osaka at my own risk.
As for my relocation, I had bad and good news for myself. The bad part was that I lost most of my previous income to it - about 5235 yens. The good thing is that I was able to move 498 kilometers away to the capital - wonderful Tokyo.
After I got there, I moved on, trying to figure out how to put my life in order now.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a car horn. I looked around and found myself millimeters from the hood of the red car.I stood frozen as in the meantime I heard the driver's insults directed at me.
After a while, I left the street. I looked up, and then my eyes saw a signboard of a cafe with the graceful name "Amai shunkan". I decided to go inside.
The interior was wrapped in warm, dark colors. On the windowsills there were long pots with colorful flowers planted in them.
On the one hand, it was beautiful here, but on the other, most of me told me to run away. First of all, considering the number of people.
I started looking at people. Everyone was very happy to be here, only one woman didn't feel quite well. I wasn't surprised that she was an employee of this cafe.
She was a fairly young woman of average height. She had brown hair pulled up in a loose bun. Her beautiful, pure green eyes shone from under her bangs, surrounded by a ton of perfectly matching freckles.
Not fully believing in my own actions, I approached this figure.
"Something's wrong?" I asked, admittedly moderately interested.
"Ah no!" she automatically smiled. "I'm fine! But there seems to be something wrong with you. You look... depressed. What happened?"
Still not believing in my stupidity, I told her my story, bending the truth slightly. I can't tell a random woman that I shot my family in cold blood.
During my stories, I tried not to make eye contact. Why? I don't know, that's what I'm used to. But at least I noticed a tag with her surname on her chest. Inosute.
When I finished my beautiful twisted tale Inosute, or rather Mrs. Inosute, hugged me. I expected everything but that.
"Poor one." she replied sympathetically. "You've been through a lot. But don't worry. If you want, I can take care of you."
Wait a minute. She didn't mention anything about reporting it to an orphanage? This woman must be a real life nerd. But well, I'm not going to complain because it's a plus for me.
I agreed to this offer. Mrs. Inosute also told me that sometimes she didn't even have enough money for dinner, but I told her it didn't matter. After all, I'm short in height, which means I use less air, take up less space, have a smaller stomach, etc.
That day, as planned, my life turned 180 degrees. First of all, I became Mayumi Inosute's ward and became the last living Hanzai.
I could be proud of myself.
