Chapter Three: The Dark Forest

As the sun began to set, Emma made her way to the park to meet Tyler. She couldn't help but feel nervous - this was the first time they were going to be alone together since their encounter in the forest.

As she approached the picnic table where they had agreed to meet, she saw Tyler sitting there, his eyes fixed on her. Emma felt her heart skip a beat as she took a seat across from him.

They sat in silence for a few moments, both of them unsure of what to say. Finally, Tyler broke the silence. "Look, Emma, about the other night...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."

Emma felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had been so worried that Tyler was going to be angry with her for getting scared and running away. "It's okay," she said softly. "I understand why you were upset."

Tyler nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "So, do you forgive me?" he asked.

Emma smiled back at him. "Of course."

As they talked, Emma felt a connection growing between them. She had never felt so comfortable with anyone before, and she found herself opening up to Tyler in a way she never had with anyone else.

As the night wore on, Tyler walked Emma home, his arm around her shoulders. Emma felt a sense of warmth and happiness spreading through her, and she knew that she was falling for him.

But as she turned to say goodnight, she saw a figure lurking in the shadows. It was Rachel, and she looked angry. Emma's heart sank - she knew that this wasn't going to end well.
