Chapter 4: The Threat

Emma's heart raced as Rachel stepped out of the shadows, her eyes fixed on Tyler. "What are you doing here, Rachel?" Tyler demanded, his voice tense.

Rachel took a step closer to them, her eyes narrowed. "I saw you two together, and I know what's going on," she spat out.

Emma felt her stomach drop as she realized what Rachel was insinuating. She had always known that Rachel had a crush on Tyler, but she never thought that it would lead to something like this.

Tyler looked incredulous. "What are you talking about?" he asked.

"You know what I'm talking about," Rachel replied, her voice shaking with anger. "You're messing around with Emma behind my back."

Emma felt a wave of panic wash over her. She didn't want to be the cause of a fight between Rachel and Tyler, but she couldn't deny the feelings that were growing between them.

"I'm not messing around with anyone," Tyler said firmly. "And even if I was, it's none of your business."

Rachel took another step forward, her eyes flashing with anger. "You think you can just use us both and get away with it? Well, you can't. I won't let you."

Emma could see the danger in Rachel's eyes, and she knew that things were spiraling out of control. She stepped forward, trying to calm Rachel down. "Rachel, please. This isn't worth fighting over."

But Rachel was beyond reason. With a cry of rage, she lunged at Tyler, her hands outstretched. Tyler barely had time to react before Rachel's nails raked across his face, leaving deep gouges in his skin.

Emma screamed as Tyler stumbled back, blood pouring down his face. Rachel looked at them both, a twisted smile on her lips. "I warned you, Tyler," she said coldly. "I warned you what would happen if you betrayed me."

With that, she turned and ran into the darkness, leaving Tyler and Emma alone and shaken. Emma knew that things had changed between them forever, and she couldn't shake the feeling of fear that had settled over her.
