Cuphead's hand sunk into face. Pirouletta smiled while Chip groaned really loud. Mugman sunk into the couch we were sitting on. Although, I really wasn't paying attention. Dice and I hadn't taken our lips off of each other yet.
"Get a room!" Wheezy shouted.
I noticed that he tends to be very loud. Dice pulled away and turned around.
"I didn't say that when you woke both me and Century up that one night, did I? Be a little quieter. I could hear all the things you were you saying to Chip. Weird ass," he smirked.
Rumulus held him back from behind the bar. Chips was being held back by the Devil.
"Bunch of assholes," the Devil said under his breath.
Dice and I both laughed to ourselves. He slipped the ring on my finger. It was just as cold and shiny as it was when he first proposed to me. It was so awkward just sitting there in front of everyone. All eyes were on us. I don't suppose a lot of emotions are let out at the casino. Chip's boots clanked across the floor all the way to us.
"Think about how pissed Cathy is going to be when she realizes she missed this. And that she can't go to your wedding," Chip states.
"Oh shit you're right," I sigh.
"Don't worry about it darling. I'm sure we could work something out," Dice says.
His eyes flash at the Devil. The Devil's eyes flash back.
"Well, since you two have been such loyal workers, you can go visit them to inform them of the wedding, that will of course be held here. You're welcome in advance, King. Oh, and by the way, I need to see you in my office. Century and Chips please don't kill each other," Devil says.
Dice holds my hand and smiles. He gets up and follows Devil out the door. Chip scoffs at me and walks away.
"You're absolutely delusional if you think he will ever love you. I know things about him that would make you reject him in a heartbeat," Chip yells.
"Chips, don't make me have death threats against you too. I suggest that you just let your sister be happy," Pirouletta remarks.
Chip swivels his chair back around and starts sipping another glass of whiskey. Wheezy patted him on the back and kept handing him more glasses.
"Thanks, Piri," I smile, holding my own hand now.
"Anytime. When do you plan on having the wedding?" she asks, sitting beside me.
"I'm not sure. Soon, I hope. I haven't even thought anything about it," I reply.
"If you need help planning anything, my mother and I used to plan elegant venues before I got here," she states.
I thought about how my wedding would even look. Would my family take the time to come down here and see me? Todd is probably already married. How would they react to me? I left for a date and then never came back. They probably all think I'm just like Chip. I haven't seen my dad in years. Who would walk me down the aisle? Cathy had made a dress for me. She always thought I would get married before her. I think I am. I don't know what happened in those 4 months I was gone. But I was going to get to see her tomorrow and she was going to be so excited.
"Piri, you know he won't actually do it. We've lived through this before. With Agulara. He proposed to her too," Chip sighed.
"I feel different about them. Dice hasn't ever been this way," she responds.
"Dice doesn't change. He's just as much as a pain in the ass as he was when we were teenagers," he states.
"You definitely have. What made you hate them so much?" she asks.
"Because she's going to get hurt,"
"You're hurting me and causing me more pain than he ever will," I snap.
A headache washed over my last words. My memories were muffled. I just tried my best to not seem like I have a problem. Piri obviously noticed.
"Are you ok?" she assured.
"Just, just a headache. Nothing a glass of whiskey won't fix," I sigh, holding my forehead.
She gets up, goes to the bar, then comes back with the whiskey. It takes me a while to drink, but eventually I get it all down. The headache goes away for a bit. Then comes back worse than ever. Dice comes back into the room, pulling down his sleeves. He obviously looked distressed then looked even more worried when he looked at me. His eyes darted to the glass I was holding.
"Baby, what did I say about that? You're gonna relapse very bad tomorrow," he sighed, taking the glass out of my hand.
"I'm fine. You know how my head gets when I'm nervous though," I say, getting up and wrapping my hands around his waist.
"Don't worry about it. You're about to be my wife. Who cares what anyone else thinks?" he whispers.
"I think your soon-to-be nine brother and sister in-laws will want you to care about what they think," I laugh.
"Darling, nobody's opinion about me matters but yours. Let's get you to bed," he smiles.
