Ayaka was out in the bustling streets of Inazuma City, glancing at her surroundings every now and then. She looked nervous and as if she were waiting for someone, which she was.
Not long after, an out-of-breath, exhausted Lumine showed up behind Ayaka, slightly shocking the poor girl.
"Sorry, *pant*, that I'm late. Something got in the way, and I rushed here as fast as I could!" Lumine barely managed to say anything as she tried to catch her breath.
Ayaka chuckled to herself, happy to see that Lumine was so eager to arrive.
"No worries. I'm actually very glad you showed up!" Ayaka cheerfully exclaimed as she felt her face flush slightly.
Lumine's gaze was drawn to the girl, who she admired. Ayaka was very pretty. She was dressed in a gorgeous dress that dipped below her knees and had a cute hat to complement her dress. Her silky, pale blue hair was also tied up in a braid and tied neatly behind her head, with butterflies as decorations.
They suddenly made eye contact, snapping Lumine out of her trance. She then asked Ayaka where they were headed since she was curious.
"Ah! I actually didn't plan much because I wanted you to have a say in it! It's such a rare occasion to be able to spend time with you, and I didn't want it to go to waste!" Ayaka replied happily.
Lumine felt heat develop on her cheeks as she contemplated whether or not this was a date.
"Should we visit the fabric shop first? It's right ahead of us." Ayaka suggested.
"O-of course!" Lumine stuttered while trying to hide the fact that she was blushing, but her bright red face wasn't helping.
The two approach the location while gazing in awe at the exquisitely woven fabrics and examining every last detail.
After the girls were done buying their desired fabrics, they walked down the street, making small talk, until they reached a dessert stall that caught their attention.
"Do you want to buy anything? The Sakura Mochi sounds really nice right now.." Lumine said as she read through the menu.
"I'm fine with mochi as well."
"Alright, then it's settled! Let me pay the bill for you-" Lumine was suddenly cut off.
"No, allow me to pay, please. It's my pleasure." Ayaka protested.
After the two continued to argue about who was paying for a solid 5 minutes, neither of them letting the other pay, they finally agreed on splitting the bill evenly.
To Lumine's surprise, Ayaka took a fork of mochi and fed it to Lumine, making her face turn a ripe red for the second time. The blonde turned to look the other way, embarrassed as she heard a chuckle from the woman beside her.
