Denki gets adopted

Denki's POV
I walk around in the rain as I look for yet another place to stay. All I can remember is mama jumping in front of me as the villain lunged towards me. She yelled at me to run and not look back. My dad left years ago and I haven't seen him since. I want my mama. It's been a week since I saw her and I'm scared and cold. I walk by a building and turn into an alleyway. I dig through the dumpster and find a box. I pull it out of the dumpster and raise it over my head for shelter as I continue to walk. A man with the prettiest blue eyes sees me. I look up at him.

He crouches down next to me. "Hello little one where's your parents?" He asks in the kindest voice I have heard. I break down into tears. "Whoa hey it's okay why don't I take you back to my place and get you warmed up" he asks. I nod still crying. He picks me up and I cling to him. My tiny hands grip the fabric of his hoodie. He has one hand on my back and the other under my legs to support me. I feel safe with him. I don't know him yet I feel safe.

Soon we walk up to a rather big house. It has two floors in it. It's mostly blue with a light brown door. The rain is still coming down. I stare up at the house it has a few windows. He goes up to the house and unlocks the front door. "Kei!" He shouts as he swings the door open. We walk inside and he takes off his shoes. "Kei!" He yells again. "I guess he isn't home yet" he says looking down at me. I smile a little. He takes me up the stairs and into a bathroom in the hallway. "Can I give you a bath? It'll warm you up" he asks. I nod my head quickly. I love baths.

It's unusual for a kid but I love baths and I haven't had one in a week now. He gives me a bath. He happens to have a pair of clothes that I can wear. The clothes are a little big on me but they're comfortable. "Th-thank you" I stutter out. He seems surprised at first and then smiles at me. I smile back. He grabs a blanket and wraps me in it. I cling onto his shirt scared that he'll leave me too. Soon the door opens. "Touya!" A voice shouts. "Kei! I'm in here!" The man holding me says. A man enters the room he has blonde hair and big red bird wings. We lock eyes.

"Who is this?" He asks as he walks over to me and Touya. "I found him wandering the street he seemed pretty upset when I asked about his parents" Touya explained. "Oh" he says before looking down at me. He has kind eyes. They are much kinder eyes than what my father had shown me before he left mama and I. "Hey can you tell me your name and I'll try to find your parents" he says. "D-Denki Kaminari. Please don't bring dad back" I cry with tears in my eyes. "Hey it's okay I won't I'll look for your mother then little one" He says.

Touya's POV
The little boy I found has a little lightning bolt in his blonde hair and golden caramel eyes. He seemed scared when we talked about getting his dad. After an hour I walk to see Keigo. The little boy that I found was fast asleep clinging to my shirt like his life depended on it. "Hey Keigo did you find anything?" I ask. He looks at me with a sad expression. "I found his mom" he says. I come closer to him. I hug him tightly and he wraps his arms around me. I keep one hand on Denki and the other around Keigos waist.

"What is it?" I ask. "She uh she died during a villain attack last week" he says. "So has this kid just been wandering the streets since then?" I ask looking down at the boy. "I think so yeah" he replies. We both look at the boy with love in our eyes. "Kei why don't we adopt him and raise him as our own when he gets older we can tell him everything" I say. I don't really want to leave the boy. Keigo smiles at me and hugs me. "I would love that" he says. I plant a small kiss on his lips. He smiles at me.

The next day after the raining stops we get a bed among other things for Denki including clothes, essential, toys, blankets, books, ect. After a week or so his adoption is finalized and we celebrate. Denki has warmed up to Keigo at this point. "Keigo?" Denki asks. I watch as he turns to Denki. "Yes little one?" He responds. "Will you guys leave me? The way mama did" he asks. "No of course not we will stay with you as long as we possibly can" he says. "But what if you and Touya want your own kids and forget about me?" He asks. "Hey kid even if we have our own biological kid we will still know that you're here and whether you're adopted or not you will always be our kid okay?" I say. He nods.

"Okay dad" he says. I gasp in surprise. I didn't expect him to call me that. I smile as he eats his dinner. The next day Denki runs up to Keigo. He tugs on his pant leg. "Papa! Can I go outside and play?" He asks. "Of course but stay in my line of sight please" he says. "Okay bye papa bye dad" he says waving as he puts on his shoes and runs out the door. He has a joyful smile on his face.
