L tapped through her instagram story for a third time, smiling at the photo of the flowers Jayson sent her each time it came across her screen. The gesture was small but it was thoughtful and definitely kept the young man at the forefront of Liyah's mind.
Because of that, she went to their text thread, rereading the exchange they shared a little before L went out on her date and Jayson's game was set to tip off.

L simply loved the message as a response. She didn't exactly know how her night would end so she didn't want to give Jayson any false hope of them crossing paths.
She swiped up on the poll she posted, taking a glimpse at who liked what hairstyle of hers. Quickly Jayson's vote for the short cut stood out. She bit the inside of her lip to conceal her smile. I am in the mood for a haircut, she thought to herself.
"L are you listening to me?"
Her date's voice pulled L's attention back up to the table, making her realize she had completely zoned out on their conversation. She blinked twice, becoming mentally present again at the table, locking her phone and lying it in her lap.
L looked up to the woman sitting across from her with her eyebrows furrowed. "I'm sorry, what?"
Asia sighed and repeated herself. "I think you should move to New York."
