"A WHITE WOMAN?!" L almost yelled as she paused the packing process she had been trying her hardest to complete. Her and Taylor were having their weekly catch up call while L prepared to meet Tay in Miami.

The tea could've waited until L landed but Taylor figured she'd be wrapped up in Jayson and decided to get her time in now.

The Boston Celtics were headed to Miami to close out the regular season before a week-long break that would allow them to rest before playing the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs. Jayson decided to rent a beach home and stay in Miami for the week & figured why not spend it with the woman he wanted to get to know better.

L shuffled around her room, grabbing shoes and clothes from her walk in closet, piecing outfits together for the 3 day long trip. Her airpods rested in her ears as she listened to Taylor recount her run in with Bam.

"She was not a white woman L," Taylor laughed on the other end. "Well you just said she kind of looked like Derrick Rose's wife and is that not a white woman?" L, rebutted. "No, L...that is also not a white woman. I'm not about to keep playing with you."

The two ladies shared another laugh before L continued. "Whatever. Bottom line, Bam ass is wild as hell, and the next time I see him I'm bussing his kneecaps." Taylor pinched the bridge of her nose, as if she was fed up with her best friend's nonsense. "That won't be necessary L, I promise."

L rolled her eyes. "No, actually it is. Cause he has you and me fucked up. Steady telling me to put in a good word with you for him and he does this dumb shit? Bussing his kneecaps is actually very necessary, Tay." L furrowed her brows as she resumed situating clothes into her suitcase.

Taylor just laughed and shook her head as she plopped down on her couch. "Enough about his ass. How is Mr. Tatum?" L paused again, letting her face soften as her eyes rested on the yellow roses that sat beautifully in a glass vase across the room. They had been delivered a few days ago but the pedals were just starting to blossom and open up.

L smirked and rolled her eyes. "He's cool, I guess." Taylor lightly chuckled, "Still sending flowers?" "Every Sunday," L replied. Taylor shook her head and chuckled. "Mhm mhm. I can't wait to hear how this weekend goes."

L playfully rolled her eyes as she rearranged 3 different pairs of Jordan's into her suitcase. "Who said I was hanging with him this weekend?"

Taylor lightly scoffed. "Oh please don't act like you're coming to Miami for me. You said that man is flying you out so I know damn well you'll be with him."

"Maybe I'm just using him for a free flight." L stated matter of factly.

"L, do me a favor and shut the hell up," Taylor replied, not buying what her best friend was selling.
