Page was sitting on the ground with her arms wrapped around her legs till she heard footsteps she looked up and saw Chris as he stopped in his tracks. Chris saw that Page had dirt on her face with small tears in her eyes.

___

Page stood there as she looked down at Chris's shirt she was wearing "Can you protect me" she said glancing up at him before looking back down "I don't have money to give you but I must leave here and go to college" She told him still looking at the ground. Chris stood up and walked towards her causing page to move back "Don't move" he said as he kneeled down. Page watched as he put something on one of the scars on her leg. When he was done he moved his gaze up at her.

___Later that night

Laying on the couch Chris watched Page as she laid on his bed. His house was one big room so he saw everything. He looked away before hearing shuffling come from Page "Is it hot" he asked. Page was put out her thoughts "What" she said "I said is it hot" he repeated. "no" she said.

"Is it hard?" Ami asked. Chris immediately took that the wrong way "what" he said looking towards her "Is the couch hard" She said Chris said a small oh before smiling "no it's fine".

silence

"Didn't you look down on me about protecting you?" He asked. Page didn't reply. It looked like she was trying to avoid that question. Hearing Chris's footsteps Page sat up and looked up at him. With the two locking eyes he said "Give me your notebook" Now listening to his voice up close Page noticed it was raspy and low. She looked away getting off the bed to go to her backpack "bring a pen too" He added. She grabbed her notebook and a pen before walking back over and handing them to him.

He opened the notebook to an empty page and turned it towards her "Write Page owes Chris one" he said with a smile on his face that never left. Page looked at him "Im not gonna specify what it is it could just be a simple meal" he said. Paged looked down and wrote down what he wanted.

Before Page could write 'a meal ' Chris took the pen and notebook from her hand "Not just a meal it could be something else" He said closing the notebook "Now go to sleep you have to get up early" he said.
