Sae adored every inch of you from the bottom to the top, the outside and the in; You were a pristine being in his eyes. Who, after all, wouldn't? Regardless of the disparity of your personalities, it was as if you were a match made in heaven. Only you could thaw the frigid heart that belongs to him; that thick wall of Ice was melted by your smile alone.
You two were just foolish and ingenuous teenagers in love, unaware of the world. Unaware of this brutal, multifaceted reality around them.
. . .
You guys were meeting up at the place where he confessed—a flower field. The once-kaleidoscopic, vibrant field had become dreary and gray, grass covered in snow, while the flowers wilt and rot because of negligence and dilapidation.
You stare at the abandoned field as a lone auburn flower had caught the attention of both you and the dim moonlight. The petals from the rosy-coloured flower fall slowly as it stays inanimate on the grass, leaving one single petal on the verge of falling as if it refuses to let go.
Your attention shifts to the first quarter moon, shutting your eyes whilst inhaling the pleasant fragrance of the flowers and the grass as it engulfs your senses, giving you a sort of comfort. You begin to reminisce, remembering the euphoria of his hands intertwined with yours, while he admires your preposterous sublime, his cheeks a bright hue of red as his eyes array nothing but adoration and awe.
Your thoughts were hindered by the very boy you waited years for, his appearance was slim and older, the light in his eyes disappeared; his face remained cold, his demeanour unwelcoming and aloof.
The atmosphere was awkward and suffocating; Distinguishable and unfamiliar. His gaze held longing yet at the same time... unhappy? What's worse is how you found it hard to approach and talk to him. It had been a while, after all. Though he had promised to talk to you daily while in Spain, but he stopped after four months. But It's okay; you were probably just bugging him, so he stopped talking to you for f̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶y̶e̶a̶r̶s̶ a while.
"I missed you." You blurted the words out obliviously as you cover your mouth in embarrassment.
"Hey." He replied his tone lukewarm and a sort of disinterest.
"How are you?" You awkwardly smile, hoping for a reply and for him to diatribe like he always used to while talking with you.
He inhales, preparing to say something as he looked at you with a glare, "Let's break up." He uttered nonchalantly as you reply. "What?"
"Are you deaf? Let's. Break. Up. You're nothing but a nuisance to my career as a mid-fielder." He frowned, looking at you with a slightly irritated expression.
'Mid-fielder?' You thought, looking at him with betrayal as anguish fills your heart, countless thoughts fills your mind was tears well up in your eyes, desperately trying to hold them in.
You look at him for hope, wishing it was nothing but a painful joke. He looks back at you with a gelid expression and you couldn't help but let those tears spill, biting your lips to prevent letting the whimper escape your lips.
You coward away, running as fast as you could, running away to escape this disaster, running away because you want to. You clench your chest, finding it hard to breath as tears continue to fall, not even trying to hold back the tears and the sobs. Your heart aches more as the words repeat in your mind, again and again.
This Itoshi is the birth of a mid-fielder prodigy. This Itoshi is a new, sophisticated individual. This Itoshi is what evolved in Spain.
This Itoshi is not the Sae you love.
. . .
You were on a busy street; cars, motors, and vehicles rushed through as the green light turned to red. Too consumed by the millions of thoughts in your head and those tear-filled eyes, you casually walk on the bustling street; the horns of countless automobiles echo in the street, and yet, you only heard ringing, a whisper.
The whisper grows louder and eventually turns into a shout as a car accelerates toward you, the whisper grows louder and eventually turns into a shout, a familiar voice. Just as you were about to be hit, a hand grabbed your arm and pulled you into their chest, saving you from the impact.
Your eyes widen as you snap out of the trance. Your ears are assaulted by the loud sounds of the passing cars as you whine in discomfort. You felt a warm hand cover your ears, lifting your head to look at the person who had saved you on the brink of dying.
You were met with teal eyes, eyes that resembled his.
It was Rin.
You felt more tears well up in your eyes; it was already so puffy and sore. Rins arms cover your body, lifting you as he caresses' your back as a way to comfort you. He carries you quietly, letting you sob in his arms comfortably.
You look at Rin's eyes to find a sort of unfamiliarity. Just like Sae's. As if a part of him was missing. The light in his eyes.
Rin carries you to your house as he sits on your bed, placing you in his lap as he wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him "What happened?" Rin queried, his tone calm, yet his face knew everything. "I've been looking for you everywhere." He was worried. It seems like he was trying to find you so you couldn't go meet Sae. He was too late. He was too late in capturing your heart, now he's late on looking after it. He grits his teeth, pulling you tighter.
You muster your courage to speak up, yet you can't say anything.
"It's fine. Don't rush things." He makes himself comfortable on your neck as he inhales your intoxicating scent.
"You already know." You whispered with a hoarse voice, you were sharp, of course you would know. Rin couldn't help but notice how lovely your voice is, even when it's raspy.
He exhales, his breath brushing against your neck as he mutters, "sorry."
"It's fine. Just stay here with me, please." You plea, hugging rin tighter. You felt Rin grin in satisfaction as he pushing you to the bed and lays down beside you, his face still buried on your neck, his arms all around your body as he hugs you tighter.
You slowly drift away to sleep with a biter-sweet feeling, unaware of rin staring at your face the whole time, his eyes displaying a look of hunger, not for food, but for you.
. . .
this sucks 🔥🔥🔥🔥
